    I know, Gadafi has been "a friend" for a long time, and now he's the Evil personified... I know, I know, it's very hypocrytical. But, BUT, what do you propose? Let him kill and kill and kill his own people, wheter they support him or not? Not doing anything is not the way, methinks. Of course it's hypocrytical since occident actually does nothing in a lot of similar (or worse) conflicts like SIerra Leona, Somalia, Congo, Siria, etc etc... but at least it has some kind of logical basis. Helping -biasedly or not- is better than not helping at all.

    Legal or illegal - I won't go into that, as I don't know the whole story.

    I tend to agree with this, though.
  3. I get where you're coming from Sergio and it's a place of compassion, I just wish things were as simple as we're being told they are.

    Foreign entanglements, sending money to 'resistance' groups, it can all be done with the best of intentions and then turn out to be bigger a problem, than the monster you used it to slay!

    Hm. I don't think things are that simple. Libya is one of the most developed and richest African countries. People there don't pay for gas or water, they even get free apartments when they get married and things like that. If you're Libyan and want to study in foreign country, government will pay you ALL expenses.

    So the things there weren't that bad at all. Gadafi killing it's own people? That's what media told us and that's what happened. But, what caused demonstrations?

    If you have civil war than it's normal for government to defend itself. We don't really know which percentage of people was (and is) against Gadafi.

    On the other side, it's obvious that west (France and USA) have some other interests... Libya lies on the oil and Gadafi is a guy you don't get to fuck with.

  10. I have something none of you will ever have. I'm willing to die for my beliefs. For instance. If given the choice between joining a union, and eating a shotgun, I'll gladely take the later (although I would prefer to move to a right to work state).

    I didn't get the impression that you have formed, strong and clear beliefs. All you do most of the time is argue about some small things and even in those things you're not willing to learn when you're obviously wrong.

    Yeah, right to work. Go to college, get educated, get a job.
