  1. I really wouldn't want to be a part of their Government right now, they seem to be in a no win situation. They either carry on as they are and run out of money within weeks, or they introduce cuts and taxs and cause mass unrest.
  2. Even being a left winged guy, I have to reckon that I'm 100% on the governments side in the crisis. I mean in the neccesary actions to minimize the crisis impact... I'm alll for social action, education, etc etc but if the hard times come by, doing strikes and causing more conflict won't help you or your country at all. I haven't supported any of the strikes and protests there have been here in Spain because of the social cuts and tax bumpings... If it's neccesary, it's neccesary. I'll gladly pay a few more for my gas, light or specially alcohol or tobacco, if that means that my government has more funds and chances to get out of the crisis.

    But on the other side, it's politicians who caused the crisis. Working people just want to work and live with their earned money. I really don't see a way out for Greece. Protests won't solve anything. Government won't solve anything because the county is so deep in crisis.

    Really sad situation for Greeks, I wouldn't want to be in their skin now.

    Easy to blame politicians. People not paying their taxes, not paying their gas and water, and this years long. Also every cutback in the last few decades were cancelled after big demonstrations. Now the Greek have to pay the price.

    The hard working are always punished, but the Greek should look at their fellow countrymen.

    Also there is lots of fraud with taxes. Greece should get their things together. Its painful now, but will be much more painful when they keep up appearances much longer.

  10. The Greek Government have approved the Austerity measures, though it looks like much of the fighting seen in Sergio’s post is and will continuing for some time to come. Although approving the measures seems to be the right thing to do, many are suggesting it will only delay the inevitable outcome of Greece defaulting on their debts.
