I must admit, Utku, you do have a point, it's not your native language. You can speak two languages, whereas Aaron can probably speak English only (can't spell it very well though). You & everyone else do very well considering English isn't you & everyone else's native language.

I was reading the newspaper last week and I noticed an article about two boys suffering from Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Currently, there is no cure for DMD.

However, a company is trying to create a drug. The two boys (age 11/15) want the drug, but the company doesn't want to supply them, since they've not been fully tested. Now, the parents have gone to court.

So, what's your opinion on this lawsuit?

Instant edit: The judge said the company was right. The Dutch law says drugs may not be provided, if not fully tested. Moreover, there is no proof the drug will be working...

I can clearly understand the frustration of the parents who must be desperate to find a cure for their children, but I have to say the judge and the company were probably right in their decision, and should follow the correct testing procedure before rushing things. If for example something was to go wrong with the children taking the drugs the company would probably be taken to court anyway, and that would be a lawsuit in which they would lose.

See? After everyting I tried to teach you,

you still don't get how every capitalistic country works.

As a citizen you pay many taxes. You pay tax because you're citizen, you pay tax because you work (if you work) and so on.

Your money goes to government and with it government finances herself and everything else in USA. Yeah, you paid for those weapons your soldiers used in Iraq. And you paid for the road in front of your house.

Your government couldn't exist without your money.

When government pays for your education, she's just giving you back only part of the money YOU ALREADY GAVE HER.

They could sign a document regulating responsibility...

It's about money: if the drug fails, it will be sold less

English isn't my native language either. But I think I manage very well when speaking/writing in it.
