Stuck and Walk On
I hope you're doing ok man. Fuck that depression. You will come through the other side soon enough. Like everything, it's a transient state and never lasts forever, and I think it happens to all of us at some point.
One of the best things I've found for me personally speaking is a good bit of comedy, typically stand-up comedy or something like Vic & Bob / Monty Python. I know watching a bit of comedy is usually the last thing you might feel like when you're on a downer, but find yourself one of your favourite stand-up comedians / comediennes on YT or wherever and binge on their standup shows, especially helps if its someone you already know, like and identify with.
Music can help too as long as its the right sort. Some definitely has a knack of not helping matters much. I like to go listen to something uptempo and upbeat when I'm not doing good, or something I wouldn't ordinarily listen to that often like ABBA or Queen or something really poppy, or a good bit of Motown.
And treat yourself a bit. Go out and buy a big fuck-off sized cream cake tomorrow or whatever your guilty pleasure is. And when you've done that do it again. Buy something nice off the interweb (although don't get into the habit of spending what you don't have), but a little bit of what you fancy once in awhile really will do you the world of good.
Spend sometime outdoors if you're not already, nature and wildlife always cheer me up if I'm struggling. I know life is a fucking complex beast and everyone has their own problems of varying magnitudes. But problems, worries and depression are always temporary and you hold the power to overcome them all - the secret is you, but don't forget to lean on your family and friends, and even complete strangers on the internet if you can't lean on them. All the best to you man.
