    Nice. Vinyl.

Better Man is still my favorite, but Wishlist is absolutely amazing to my eyes and might be a candidate to their best i.m.o.

Given To Fly One of my PJ favorites. But their best is still Black for me

  3. You know I'll never ever learn the right spelling. Well, maybe if I have to write it on WordFeud sometime......

Given To Fly is amazing as well, but I still can't find the 'utter greatness' of Black. Maybe 10 more listens and I'll be there
  4. Yield has many excellent tracks (and a couple of weak ones).

Yield will always have a special place in my heart as it came out in 1998 - the year I went overseas for a year. The album sort of acted as a soundtrack for my trip. Also, I saw the band in Auckland that year. Awesome show.
  5. here a nice document of a Mother Love Bone show back in 1988

IMO,EV is the only singer who can downright nail any Daltrey song..

We've discussed this before (but not in 2012) but the record company desparately wanted to release "Black" as a single but PJ declined - they didn't want the song ruined by overplay, etc. I think this adds to the songs allure.

I wonder if the band regrets making the "Jeremy" video. Although it is widely regarded as one of the greatest promos of all-time, I have a feeling they wouldn't do it again if they got the chance. Their position seemed a bit unclear in the PJ20 movie.

Eddie's got the wail that Daltrey had...classic. He also does a great job with Pete Townsend's songs, too. His "Let My Love Open the Door" in Chicago 1995 is a prime example.
  11. What are your thoughts on the Benroyal Hall release?

    I haven't listened to it.

When im in the mood for pjs softer side, there's not a better listen IMO. Great collection, great performNce and one of the best sounding CDs I own. The recording catches such an ambience and makes you feel like you're there.
