1. Bono changing the lyrics to RITFW....what a fuck.
  2. He likes to finish on stage the early songs Eddie didn't properly finish back in the 90s hahaha

He skipped the entire second verse (presumably because he didn't know the lyrics) and made up his own, which Eddie had to follow along for, and then repeated that verse again later instead of the actual third verse which Eddie has always sung with passion and force.

I dont know, it just bothered me
  4. Bono forgets his OWN lyrics quite often,(Stay),its really no shock to me he doesnt know the lyrics to RITFW.EV flubs many a lyric as well, but as we all know,PJ play so many more songs than U2, on any given yearly tour,I give Vedder a pass.
  5. I have been listening, pretty much nonstop,to the boots from the 2010 N.American Tour.Besides the MSG gigs, which are stellar, and Boston,I would suggest listening to the Columbus (05.06),Cleveland (05.09),Buffalo (05.10) and the underrated Newark (05.18) gigs.Indiana (05.07) is very solid as well.

The only show, out of the 13,that Im not really crazy about,is the first gig,05.01.The band played at the New Orleans Jazz Festival. The set was a bit short, and Tremor Christ is really the only stand out moment.Opening with a cover (Rock ln Roll Star) and closing with another (Kick Out The Jams) doesnt thrill me either.

On its own,of course it isnt bad at all.It is Pearl Jam.But certain staples, like Given To Fly for example, just dont take off.EV,doesnt scream his ass off in the middle,as he almost always does. In My Tree, and Got Some are off.The band are rusty,as this is the first gig in 6 months for the band.Comotose,Supersonic and 1/2 Full should not have been played.Stronger tunes like Black,RVM and Animal would have made this short gig stronger.Being a festival,Im sure this had to do with the short set. This show is well under the 2 hour plus gigs the band play.CD 2 is only 38 min.

When compared to other shows, from this tour,Jazz Fest is most definitely lacking,in Pearl Jams usual potency.
  6. Just listened to Buffalo today. Very solid show.

    Cleveland is next.

Yeah. I was thinking I would skip this one. The set list was short and not the greatest. Maybe I'll grab Tremor Christ for a future mix, however.

Is that Oasis's RNR Star they opened with?

  8. They closed with Kick Out the Jams when I saw them do the PJ20 show at Alpine Valley. Was beyond disappointed. Had Mudhoney up there with em, which is all fine and good...but not for the closing song of one of your 20th Anniversary shows.
  9. When I saw them them back in September, they closed with RITFW - with Neil Young - which was very cool (and I'm not really a Neil Young fan). However, I have to admit that I was hoping for one more once that was done - either YLB or Indifference would have been just fine with me.

No...I wish it was Oasis's tune. Its Tom Pettys played out,old rocker So You Wanna Be A Rock n Roll Star.I wasnt impressed.

I have a great mix from the 13 gigs.I will list the tunes soon.Between going to NY Ranger games (at MSG,and Philly for rhe Winter Classic) and the NFL playoffs, not much time.
