1. Blast Vitalogy..its a great,but odd, record IMO.....But VS is a true PJ classic....like 10...
  2. I'd give a Vitalogy a go, definitely. Like Ed said, it's quite an odd album - especially when you get to 'Bugs'. It isn't really that important to listen to their albums chronologically, it's just something which is good to do.

EDIT: Woo, 5000 posts! Shame though, I'm no longer a Popmartian
  3. and the first 3 bootlegs are out .. the 2 Sao Paulo and Rio
  4. The more I listen to Yield, the more I like it. It doesn't have as many high points as the earlier albums, but it doesn't have as many low points either. I really enjoy listening to this front to back.
  5. I like listening chronologically... but I'll fuck that, I want to hear Vitalogy.

Congrats on 5000 - and you did it in the PJ thread! Mirrorball Man from ZooTv beats Muscle-Man from PopMart any day of the week.

I must exhibit some control here. So many great songs were played over those 10 dates this past November.

The fact that PJ released their (Vs and Vitalogy) deluxe eidtions as companion pieces makes me think that if they think they go together it doesn't matter which goes first. Eventually, you'll probably just end up listening to the ten "normal" tracks on Vitalogy - I do, anyway.

Don't move on to No Code before listening to Vitalogy, however.

Yield is outstanding - I really like that album. You hit the nail on the head with the high/low points. Aside from Given to Fly, I'd say everything else is just a bit below what's on their first three albums. However, lots of very solid tunes. I, however, have never been a fan of Pilate for some reason.
  10. Hearing Push Me Pull Me live at PJ20 was an unexpected treat (off of Yield)
  11. That song sounds WAY better live than on the album. Very cool you attended that (those?) show(s).

Didn't they play the rarely-performed "No Way' as well?
  12. I only went to night one and I don't believe that was that night.

Could have been done on night two though
