I plan to listen to the 2003 Toronto and Montreal shows until the end of the week - and then it's on to the legendary July 2003 shows. I plan to listen to all 10 of them (not including the three Mexico City dates - I wore them out last fall).
Take Once from another tour in Canada..the '05 shows were great..Halifax,Toronto,Montreal,Quebec,Ottawa,Saskatoon....some off the chart places...Harvest Moon was great on that tour...
Well then that does it, doesn't it? Once this 2003 thing is done, I will move onto a noughty-Canadian mix. (Sorry).
My "research" tells me that Once was only played "once" (sorry, again) in Canada from 2000-2009 - duing the Toronto, 2000 show. (It was, however, played at the show I attended last year).
I've been listening to the July 1 show (Bristow) today. Really like it - I enjoy the slow start due to the traffic jam. Since I have already listened to all the Mansfield, Camden, and MSG shows (last fall) there's not much I have to go through for the first time - although I plan to revisit those shows (and the final two) before getting down to "work."
Ok..I will list a few standouts tonight....time is short..
Fri (03.30) and Sun (04.01) nights I will be in MSG watching the NY Rangers play the Habs,then the hated Bruins.Tues night Im going to see the Boss in NJ,and wed I leave with the family for 9 days in Disneyworld !!!!
Yes I know..we went in Nov...I admit,I love it as much,if not more than the kids..EPCOT is my destination..Canada has the best restaurant Matt..Le Cellier Steakhouse...you have to make reservations a full 6 months in advance to eat there Matt...and the band,Off Kilter, is seriously fantastic !!! kilts and all lol !!!!
