I feel a ...3 Nights in Mansfield - Summer '03 mix on the horizone Matt...

Yeah...that's a lot of tunes. I did that multiple-opener thing again.

Omissions of some classic songs, like Last Exit and Glorified G, from the "experiment" have kept me from making a big set from just those three shows. I wonder if EV realized this as they were played in Hershey the next show?

I have become one big Pearl Jam nerd.
  2. LOL....I dont like the multi-opener thing..but hey..thats me..I pick one opener,thats it..

Maybe use Sometimes and Of The Girl from the acoustic set when they were played 2nd and 3rd ???
  3. What they did on July 11th justifies my decision to start the mix off with a few openers - even if I didn't use anything from that particular set. I made that decision based on the fact that I like to keep CD1 from Mansfield 3 unedited - it's great just as it is.
  4. Thats fine Matt,Im just breaking your chops....Im a stickler for using the songs in the spot that they were played.....but thats me...lol

In other words..if Sometimes opened a gig,I would never use it in the 2nd or 3rd spot....

Just to let you know..my wife read what I just wrote..and agreed YOU are right..LOL

    I didnt see this quote before..if you are a "PJ nerd"..then..dare I ask..what might I be ???????

I get on airplanes..and cross oceans to see PJ (I have done this also for U2,Noel,Radiohead and DMB) ..
  6. You have done a nice job of welcoming me to the (nerd) club, I suppose. I teach math for a living - I'm used to the "nerd" label.
  7. maybe i'm too subjective but .. nah definetely not a nerd
using Elwood Blues words ... "he saw the light!!!" hehe

ps: spectacular transition Alive -> Rockin in Lima
  8. Pearl Jam is a band that doesn’t do anything that they don’t want to do,” DeLuna Fest booking manager Gus Brandt said. “I think they’re only doing two shows in America this year, so for DeLuna Fest to be one of them is a big deal.”

Well, we all enjoy the band so that's really all that matters. However, you two (Ed and Ron) have "lived it" so I wouldn't put the "nerd" label on either of you. Conversely, I'm experiencing the shows (aside from the two attended) via computer and have been meticulously been studying their setlists - even looking for some patterns (non-randomness) in them. Maybe I could create an algorithm that will allow me to predict a PJ set on any given night - kind of like SABERmetrics in baseball. (Unfortunately, this nerd isn't that smart).

All this self-loathing/deprecation is very 1990's grunge, isn't it?

Two shows? What's the other one?

    definetely it is hehe

i guess that even the most mega-perfect algorithm wouldn't give you 100% to withdraw your money bet hehe
