Just realized that as GREAT as pearljambootlegs.org is at provided fans with shows, there are a few shows that are missing tracks. For instance, "Small Town" is missing from the Hamilton 2005 show and "Do the Evolution" and "YLB" are missing from the Kitchener show files.
Not that I really need to hear yet ANOTHER version of these three (classic) songs.
That is a solid site Ron,I used it alot years ago,I like it for the 2003 boots...but the pics of the boot covers 2008 -2010 are too small.....
When I increase the size of the boot pic,it would always get blury.
Im sure its me....lol...Matt,Ron..figure it out and explain to me what Iam doing wrong..lol
Matt...with the 2008- boots,I just go to PJ.com and copy the front cover, for the back, I just type out the setlists and print, cut and slide in the cd case.....my mp3/cds actually look very good....
Encore 1 is very good, starts out with the acoustic set....band are seated and perfom Small Town,Thumbing My Way,Sleight Of Hand and Hard To Imagine.
Sleight Of Hand has quite a few mistakes,I believe Jeff is the culprit...playing the wrong notes in the first verse, and this continues throughout the tune, therefore ruining what would have been a nice version.Maybe his bass was out of tune, because it certainly sounds off.
Hard to Imagine > Alive are the keepers during this encore.Hard To Imagine was a real nice addition, and sounds great.Alive is its usual classic self..bringing the crowd into what sounds like a near frenzy.
Encore 2 is good..nothing really extraordinary here.Nice version Of Betterman, good crowd participation.Last Kiss goes over bigtime and has a nice improv intro,RITFW is its usual, rockin self, with Mike going off during his solo..Yellow Led ends this solid gig.Of note here,Sad,BREATH,Blood and Porch are on the setlist for encore 2,and were unfortunately not played.Breath,IMO, would have added some needed spice to the encore.
4 Stars Very good show. The main set outshines the encores for a change.
Standout tunes: Oceans,Whipping,Do The Evolution,Red Mosquito,Alone, Hard To Imagine,Alive and Last Kiss.
Tell me something: Do you use a skinny CD jewel case or one with a "spine" so you can see what each CD is when it is stacked on the rack? IN other words, the second option has a separate front and back cover?
Or do you buy the cardboard cases that the official CD versions of the boots come in?
I use the one with the spine,so I can see what show it is..and the artwork has that,on the side so it works out great...same goes for 2006...most of the 2008 gigs forward I bought on cd,the few that I dont have on cd,I use the thin jewel case, since I havent been able to locate a site with the full (proper size) artwork on the side, from '08 -present....
