I haven't watched it yet. I have to go to Best Buy in the next couple of days, so I just may pick up the "base model."

those are really great openers and it's a big decision .. i have a very small preference for Long Road and mainly Release amongst them to open.
i love when they start "slowly"

All the music stores are closing down around here. Is it the same in Europe?
  4. Yes, music stores are closing down. But there are still some very good ones left. And loads of people who loves going to a record store.
  5. almost the same here
there are no more many traditional music stores; mainly music is sold in electronic mega store. very very few ones are resisting though.
(nostalgic moment of old times when you can really breathe music in a store spending hours searching through Lps )
  6. I wonder how hard it would be to find the CD's of the 2000-2006 PJ shows in used music stores?
  7. I ordered the Vs./Vitology set today with Achtung Baby and can't wait to listen to them. I'm ready to build up a little PJ collection.

  8. The cds from the 2000 tour are all over ebay. They are out of print. The 2003 cds are also on ebay, but they were only available from the 10club,so they are a bit more rare than the 2000 cd's.The 2005-2006 gigs were only available in mp3 form on pj.com.The US tour dates are still available on iTunes from the 2006 tour.$9.99 a gig.Not bad at all IMO....

This is my first half, monster first set MEGA mix of the European Tour.....A bit much so far ?..Maybe.....but there are so many classics.....I cant leave any of them out...LOL

The second half Ill list tomorrow. Many a great show like Slovenia, Berlin,Hamburg,Norway,Verona and Stockholm will be included.Flows very well...IMO...Love this band....
  10. Wow! This looks awesome. My mixes are about the same length (2 CD's worth - haven't actually burned the discs until I get it just right). Whenever I make a mix of any given band (really just U2, Radiohead, Oasis, or Pearl Jam) certain classics must be on it. For better or worse, PJ has about almost 20 mandatory songs. I've broken down and am using tracks from the entire tour as "In My Tree" is in that list of 20 songs. Also, I'm starting with four openers in a row - the four you mentioned. I think there are two "Oceans" I could choose from as well...I'll save that for the 2003 compilation.

Oh, wait. You're doubling this thing! That's one monster mix indeed.

Just finished watching PJ20. Wow, this is one great movie. Loved the Italy 2006 footage - amongst everything else. Not to sound to cheesy but I've always said that hearing U2's "Streets" live is a near-religious experience for me. PJ's "Alive" is definitely in that category. Looking at the crowd as they performed it at the end of the film reminded me of how gret it was last month. It might not be everyone's favourite PJ song but I think it truly is their greatest hit. Soooo good.

I purchased about 25 individual tracks from the 2006 shows back in April or May - when this whole PJ addiction/insanity of mine began. I was simply trying to get as many songs as possible that were not in Live on Two/Ten Legs.

I didn't know about pearljambootlegs.org (and others like it) six months ago.

Yes,Alive is classic.Check the emotion out,Seattle,N2.They dropped it after the tragedy in Denmark. Then, the last show of the tour, they decided to play it again.

The thing with my mixes, they are very very long, because I put them on playlists on my iPod.So,I can really go off,LOL.....Ill add the second part tomorrow...

I saw PJ20 in the theatres, here in Manhattan, last month.Loved it....
