1. anyway the only sure things are SG tour early in the year and those couple of dates in South America by PJ end march-beginning april.

if the boys will be really recording in march, will we have some taste of new songs? .. i'm not much confident, being festivals i don't think so but who knows
  2. There's little point in using a festival to debut a song.

Intimate settings are better for that.

Yes,and that is the problem Ron.Since 2007,they tour for 2 weeks, and thats it.The band should have toured Backspacer alot more than they did,in 2009-2010,they didnt.

Brad and RNDM wouldnt exist,if EV was 100% committed to PJ.He isnt IMO.Like I have said,U2 have been together for over 30 years..I dont see Bono or the Edge running around doing solo albums or tours, and they could.I know why they dont, because Bono said in the past,he has "no desire" to do "solo shows",because he's "in a band."

I beieve Noel Gallagher said the same thing recently.

Also....while Im at it.... advertising on their web site, that the gig from Missoula is an "Instant Classic" looks as if they are trying to create a false buzz, and get some hype for a decent gig, sell it at half price, for a few days,so people who wouldnt have bought it,will now buy it....I dont like that.

  4. I dont see how they even have time to record, with all the "solo" stuff going on...

    Yeah, they got me.

For five bucks I couldn't resist. However, it doesn't really have anything that I didn't get fron the Euro shows - except maybe Ghost. Not really that "fussed" about the cover songs.

  6. oh well Brad exist since first half of the 90's .. and same, more or less, for Jeff with his Three Fish
you're a bit unfair to give all the blame to Eddie .. he has "faults" of course, but the others too for me.
who more who less everyone is to blame for this situation
  7. Eddie's the "voice" so he'll naturally front the blame but I appreciate your point, Ron. It probably doesn't help that EV's concerts are probably the best attended out of all the other "projects."

That is true Ron.But Brad is a side project, and I have no problem with them. They were never a distraction,or got in the way of the main group.I don't think Stone would say ,"sorry guys I'm hitting the road with Brad.I can't tour or record for a while with PJ." They are basically unknown.Same goes for Jeff and Mike.

Now,when EV goes on the road,we,the PJ faithful go see him,as I have.Just as I do when Dave Matthews does solo acoustic gigs. But,DMB are a much more active band then PJ are.EV solo tours are very very good.No question. But he seems to play more solo gigs in recent years, then gigs with his main group. That,is a problem. You can't say that about Dave Matthews.

For me,I think for the last 5 yrs,EV would rather do solo gigs,or no gigs....and I think he is the reason why the band do these short mini tours.Maybe I'm way off, just my gut feeling. So,that is why I have some animosity towards him.I love this band for 20 yrs,and I just wish Eddie Vedder could focus more on the band...
  9. I saw on the PJ site that Riot Act was released a DECADE ago this week. The complaint in the forums was that they've only released two albums since!

    I'm fueling your fire, aren't I, Ed?
  10. i think the only one whom Eddie makes the scheduling for is Glen Hansard ... hehehe
if we reason with popularity that could be true but they never made things thinking mainly to sell millions of records and filling 100.000 stands stadium, didn't they?
lets try to see in a different way Eddie is solo the others in bands .. i guess it's easier to set a "pastime diversion" by his own than with other 2/3 guys.
it's also hard thinking Eddie calls Stone and tells him "ok you're free, calls your little friends and think something to play with" .. even harder if he calls Matt hehehe
    since 2007 ..
    Eddie 2 records
Stone 2 records and more or less 1 solo (not collaborations)
    Jeff 3 records (not collaborations)
it seems the other 2 spent more time than Eddie in writing and recording for other things rather than PJ .. and i don't think they do just because Eddie tells them they can or because they're bored.
and when Eddie thinks "ok i want to do something with PJ" the other rush like tin soldiers .. nah don't really think so
Eddie probably hadn't any idea to do something solo before he was asking to do Into the Wild ..

i don't think the DMB comparison fits very well ED ... i don't know much about them (just heard something not in deep) but they're DMB - Dave Matthews Band right? Pearl Jam are not EVB - Eddie Vedder Band

uhm that recalls me U2 in a such a way ... hehehe

yeah right .. frontman always serves as lightning rod
Eddie Vedder .. Bono ........ Liam Gallagher hehehe
