(“Welcome to the last night of the tour.” Ed thanks the audience for coming out to see him and Glen. Struggling through all the shouting, Ed says that “usually the second to last show is the best one. You think it is going to be the last but it is usually the last show. However, I do believe that with your assistance we can make this last show the best one.”

    and mainly ..

(Ed says that there are no plans for any more ukulele shows and that everything coming up is all band shows which he assumes will make the crowd happy but, “I am gonna miss playing these songs.”)

    are you happy Ed? hehehe
  3. The Eddie Vedder Radio Show debuted yesterday on Pearl Jam Radio on SiriuxXM. You can download it by clicking here, Norm from the PearlJam.com forums recorded the show. Here are some notes I wrote down while listening:

-Ed mentioned early on that the songs he’s playing on his show are the songs he plays loud in his car or in a hotel room. He also said the songs would make a good workout playlist “They’ll keep you moving, you’ll have a smaller waste in no time.”

-Ed said that if Pearl Jam ever covered a Soundgarden song it would be “Ty Cobb.”

-Ed said regarding Jeff, “Some people call him Jeff Ament, I just call him my brother.” He said he thinks Jeff’s new solo album is the best thing he has ever done musically.

-Ed said Kim Gordon is one of his favorite singers, and one of his favorite people of all time before playing a rare song he recorded with her entitled “Croon Spoon.”

-Ed played a clip of some ambient music that he created, “By the way this music in the back this is something I do in between shows or in the hotel room, got a little recording rig that I mess around with. You ever wonder what I was doing between shows? [Laughs] Here’s an idea, I don’t know if it’s pretty but it’s how we keep ourselves entertained.”

    Playlist:
    Fugazi – Caustic Acrostic
    Sleater Keaney – Entertain
Queens of the Stone Age – Medication
Queens of the Stone Age – Little Sister
    Soundgarden – Ty Cobb

Billy Childish – Joe Strummer’s Grave

The Who – You Stand By Me (Acoustic)
    The Evens – Mt. Pleasant

    HAHA...we will see...
  6. I have to say,the Who the other night at MSG was really, really good.Daltrey can still bring it..I believe hes 67 (?) as is Pete.Roger's voice is still very strong. They performed all of Quadrophenia,I have always loved that release, and seein Roger and Pete perform the songs was just thrilling for me......at their age, this could be it..I first saw them live 30 years ago,1982,at Shea Stadium..times flies...

They also played Who Are You,Pinball Wizard,Baba,Behind Blue Eyes,Wont Get Fooled Again and ended the show with an acoustic tune off Endless Wire, called Tea and Theatre..very solid gig..the old geezers still have it !!!!
  7. Did they cover any PJ?
  8. HAHAHA..Um,no......btw Matt...DMB are in Toronto tonight.....
  9. A student of mine is attending.

If my wife didn't want to go....

I'm getting into The Who at the moment. I'd really love to see them perform Quadrophenia. I hope they swing by here in Sweden some time.
  11. I think we need to open a topic for The Who - they're worthy of it, no?
  12. Do it.
