    I really disliked the album version of it - so much that I wouldn't even give it a chance on the Live on Two Legs compilation. I always thought to myself, "Why did they include this instead of a classic like 'Alive' or "Jeremy' or 'Animal' or 'RVM' or 'Spin the Black Circle' or 'Not For You' or 'Immortality" or..." You get the point.

    Anyway, I think it's a pretty decent song nowadays. I just listened to what I consider to be the best version of it on my iPod while shopping in the grocery store - it's from the SLC '95 bootleg...wild guitars...EV's really into it. I suppose this performance was before it was even released! I must listen for any fan of the song.

  4. Of course. I think "Faithfull," "Brain of J," and the single "Wishlist" would have all fit nicely on it. However, I read somewhere that they wanted balance and put three songs off of each album on Live on Two Legs. Well, it's almost true:

    Ten: Even Flow, Black, and ????
    Vs: Daughter, Go, and Small Town
    Vitalogy: Better Man, Nothingman, and Corduroy
    No Code: Red Mosquito, Hail Hail, and Off He Goes
    Yield: Given to Fly, MFC, and Do the Evolution ...and "Untitled" which for some strange reason is considered to be a Yield tune by setlistfm - I guess they (and 10c even) mix it up with the "We're all crazy" version.

  5. I've listened to Atlanta '94, Melbourne '95, and SLC '95 over the past week - all very solid. I plan to listen to Berlin '96 (again) next and then the two (Melbourne and Seattle) from '98.

    I hadn't forgotten about Orpheum 94 - it too is excellent. I was just trying to be a bit efficient in my post and only list one boot per year. In my mind, as great as that Boston gig is, Atlanta is still better.

    I'll let one of you make the first post for our reviews of Auburn Hills 2006.

    Are the lights back on at the Superdome yet?

  12. You know, speaking of a song with the word "survive" in the title, I thought Beyonce and the rest of Destiny's Child would definitely play "I'm a Survivor" during the Super Bowl half-time show - but they did not. Go figure.
