    Kurt just said what he thought, never had hair on his tongue and probably he simply triggered a string that was already inside them both regarding their sound and concept of music world .. Vs has already some signs.
    they were not liking anymore how they were living the music .. they didn't want to say always yes anymore and decided to say no (like Stone, i guess, said) .. so no video .. ticketmaster boycott .. much more experimentation in the sound and on .. all things i appreciated a lot
    so i think that Kurt's words were just the straw that breaks the camel .. he probably turned on a light that they already had.
    i don't think at all he was the main cause of their career development

  8. My wife said she should divorce me (she was kidding - I think) for wanting to go to this concert. This is not because of money, time away from the family, or anything like that. She thinks me wanting to go see PJ for my 40th Bday is a bit lame - that I should think "bigger." I still love her but...

    I'm going after two tickets on Saturday!

  11. I think you're right on that one, Ron. I think they figured out that one on their own - and even though Ten and Vs sold better than all the rest, are they really THAT commercial?

    I read somewhere that Cobain was a hypocrite himself where deep down he wanted to make hits - just in his own way.

    I think Nirvana released two, fantasitic, five-star albums. They are both classics and are/were definitely influential, both musically and commercially. I cannot knock them one bit. However, I appreciate your comments, Ed, about Cobain's inability to be a good father...hey, maybe it was THAT disappointment in himself that truly led to his demise.

    I won't even get started on Courtney Love - at least as a human being - although some of Hole's music did rock - if only because it was heavily influenced by Cobain, and later Billy Corgan.
