1. You see, I've never got tired of the studio albums, yet. I love the Vitalogy sound and, like you said Matt, Eddie's vocal strain.Listening to Blood just makes you think: how in God's name can Eddie's scream like that?! I can still listen to Ten and Vs. too. But, I do agree with Ed when he says that the sound on Yield, and especially No Code, sound like shit. Terribly produced with Eddie mumbling all over No Code. I struggle to listen to both of those albums through headphones. I'm not tired of them as such, there's just specific things I can't stand about the album. The songs are great, however.

Its a shame they were recored that way..so many great tunes, and they sound awful..

Given To Fly studio sounds like a demo...
  3. So does Sometimes, and that really annoys me because it's a fantastic song which would sound so deep and ambient if it were recorded properly.
  4. I love "Sometimes."

I have been listening to the two San Diego 1995 shows - great performances, good sound but definitely not great. These shows need a remaster for sure. Also, I saw that these were part of a Monkeywrench Radio compilation (about six shows from the west coast from that year). Are these the same versions that are available at pearljambootlegs.org?
  5. Hey Matt..is it me,or are we seriously falling behind with our review of the 2006 tour ?

Looks like we might get a foot (or more) of snow here in NYC..
  6. I think we got two feet of snow!

Poor, Ron, He's having trouble keeping up - and, correct me if I'm wrong, he's not on here very much throughout the weekend. Maybe we should post the next one to really put the pressure on him.

(Ron, I'm just having fun - obviously I know you'll read this.)
  7. 2 FEET ?...You Canadians are used to that much snow..lol

Here in NYC....its full panic mode if we get more than 3 inches,so I'm having some nice red wine, and listening to theJWB remastered Berlin boot from '96...got my Bose headphones on.. sounds so much better, great job byJWB with these boots...sounds incredible
  8. I wish he'd do a few more.

I looked at those Randall's Island setlists - wow! Too bad the bootlegs are up to par - at least by PJ's standards.
  9. Im back with the Seattle '98 gig..amazing show, this one sounds even better then Berlin '96 !!

Yes,the Randalls show got me back into PJ Matt..I was so turned off by No Code, and I was "mad fer it" with Oasis,Radiohead and Blur..and also DMB...

But after the Randalls show,I was like..those songs are great live"..
  10. I listened to (part of) Melbourne '98 today - while shovelling - and will then move onto Seattle...and then onto 2000?????

Ed, did you finally get yourself an avatar?
  11. LOL..yes I did...AND ITS BIGGER THAN YOURS...LOL

    Blur, eh? I didn't know.

I never had any issue with them but I must admit I only had their 1997 album (the one with Beetlebum and Song 2) and eventually put together a Greatest Hits by them,
