    To be honest, I don't blame you! Last summer I tried to listen to all of the Euro bootlegs and got bored. I don't think the setlist variation is as good as the NA bootlegs.

    Received Backspacer on vinyl today and the New Year's Eve show from NYC. They were on sale on the Pearl Jam store so I picked them cheap at around $13. Still haven't received my Spectrum 2009 boxset yet...

    No this one was made by someone else - it's better than mine in terms of transitions between songs (I've gotten better over the last year, however) and it is more comprehensive as it contains every song that they played live - 96 in all (mine had about 72 songs).

    I have so many mixes from 2000,I dont need another....LOL

    One of my favorite mixes is of the 4 shows I mentioned earlier.Det,East Troy,Chicago and St Louis are amazing gigs.You have to listen to these shows Matt.

    The version of SOLAT from Det is considered to be THE version of the song by the "diehard elite" on the 10C Forums.I agree.

    Detroit is a rockin' gig,and went under the radar for some reason.


  4. I'm always searching for new bootlegs - it came about about a year ago. I'm hoping this individual eventually does something like it for the 2003 tour and maybe the 2006 one, as well. Anyway, this one's great for the artwork alone - although the mix is, to me anyway, a "must have." I'm much newer to the pj bootleg "game" than you are, however, so I can see why you might not need it.


  5. As you are probably aware (from this thread), I recently listened to all 16 shows of the first leg of the 2006 tour. I think I overdid it as I too was getting a bit bored - my ratings of the show seem to go down as the tour progressed.

    Nice collecting! The only non-album music I have a hard copy of is the "Jeremy" single, the "Merkinball" EP, and the Night 1 Toronto show that I attended last year - oh, and the PJ20 DVD (deluxe version) and the Touring Band DVD (which is still in its wrapper - I've watched it on-line.)

    Why dont we review the 2nd Leg of 2000,after we finish these last couple of shows from Leg 1 2006 ????

    We can then go back to 2006,after Leg 2 of 2000.Then come back to Leg 3 2000.This way,we will keep each tour fresh.I would like to break down each show from Leg 3 2000..that part of the tour was the strongest IMO.
  9. I was planning to "comment" on each show but I suppose I can be convinced to beef up my reflections. I think I will still scale it back, however - at least compared to my 2006 reviews. There's probably little need to comment on regulars like "Corduroy" and "Even Flow" ever time they make an appearance in the setlist.

    Early comment on Virginia Beach: It's excellent. As much as I rave about the band's first five albums, I really like the live performances from the songs from Binaural. In terms of songs (but maybe not studio production), it is definitely #6 on my PJ album list. I've said before that it could interchange with Riot Act but I don't feel that way anymore. There are a few exceptions, of course, but for me most of the songs from Binaural are better than most from Riot Act - and the albums that followed.
  10. Still no rumors in the US on the fall show, this if there will be one? Read here and there it likely will be on the West Coast or South?
  11. I suppose the time of year would be better suited for the South but its "hard to imagine" that they wouldn't stop in places like NYC and Boston. The new Barclay's Centre in Brooklyn has been mentioned a here and there - just speculation, however.

    Binaural has much better songs than Riot Act IMO.I agree the recordings were muddy,as Yield and No Code were,so the songs sound much better in a live setting.Of course,I blame EV for this.
