  3. Its more the lack of real news about Pearl Jam. No shows, no new album, just like U2 they need to come with something new.

    I also relistened Backspacer yesterday Unthought Known is an amazing song imo, also Just Breath is great. Other than that Got Some and The Fixer are fun, the other songs aren't really impressive.

    Amongst the Waves and Gonna See My Friend are great too. I'm fairly fond of Supersonic as well. The songs that weren't mentioned don't do anything for me at all.

    Yes I forgot Amongst The Waves, also a pretty good song.

  9. The songs on Backspacer are okay - I too really like "Unthought Known." As expected, the music is more mature than their earlier records, which is a good thing but also an inevitable bad thing: Good in the sense that I don't think individuals who are pushing the half-century mark should be trying to sound like angst-ridden 25 year olds. Bad in the sense that mature music is often (not always) not as energetic as youthful music.

    I realize that their may be a few "holes" in my argument but I am sure many of you get what why I mean. In any case, it's sometimes hard to believe that the same individuals who wrote "Porch" and "Even Flow" also wrote "Come Back" (from the "Avocado" album) and "The End."
