1. Starting with Sirens, brilliant! Followed by In My Tree, even more brilliant!
  2. Something to ponder while "we" are on a two-week tour break....

Admittedly, I should probably pose this question in the "favourite grunge band" topic but it is this thread where I have most of my discussions.

For those of you who also listen to Soundgarden, which album do you prefer: King Animal or Lightning Bolt?

Lightning Bolt for sure, I'm not really a Soundgarden fan so that is one of the reasons but I really think Lightning Bolt is a great album.
  4. Let's rephrase that question: which album do you prefer? Lightning Bolt, King Animal, Vanishing Point, or The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here?

Personally, it's a dead heat between Lightning Bolt and King Animal, but I think the latter just narrowly wins it.
  5. King Animal hands down for me.

But Lightning Bolt is much better then I expected .....
  6. PJ Radio is playing the Indy 06.22. 2003 gig

    Above average gig IMO

I haven't listened to this show in ages....Corduroy GTF and Habit kick ass ... Followed by a great version of Jeremy....and an insane rocking version of Even Flow..Mike goes bananas ,EV seems pissed at something ,and says "dumb fuck" during the tune

    Check this gig out.....
  7. I know I'm coming into a topic blind, it'd be like coming onto U2start not knowing much about U2, but is anyone else really fucking sick of hearing "hear the sirens"?
  8. Not me I love Sirens

haha, is it getting much airplay or what?
  10. It's ridiculous how often I'll turn on the radio and hear Eddie Vedder singing that line. It's gotten to the point where my best buddy and I laugh about it.

Well, you can always laugh about it and then just enjoy the song... That, or you'll end up uncounciously hating Pearl Jam just because of one song (it's happened to me with other bands, I know how it works).

PJ doesn't get any airplay on standard radios over here... Or I think so, since I don't listen to standard radios
  12. Oh don't get me wrong I love Pearl Jam and I'm a fan of some of the songs on Lightning Bolt already (as well as the majority of their back catalogue), I just don't like Sirens at all and the fact that it's overplayed makes it that much worse.
