  1. Just came across a piece of news regarding that Download Festival (I didn't know about it before)... And well, it seems to be more of a hard-rock/metal festival, I can't honestly see Pearl Jam fitting in among bands like Rammstein, Avenged Sevenfold or Slipknot. Just a matter of styles. It can happen of course, but I don't see it as probable as having them in other "softer" festivals like Reading/Leeds or Glastonbury.

  5. It's funny how they will play RVM and Small Town most nights but only bring out other classics like Dissident and GG only one or two times on these tours.

  9. usually there's a rule of 8 events (extra football of course) per year. till yesterday all the 8 slots were taken (by far the worst season ever i've to say) but today the city council has given an extra license for a 9th .. so they seem to be not so strict this year so ...

  10. Isn't PJ big enough to have their "own" show in places like France, Portugal, Spain, and Italy? it wasn't that long ago (2006) that they were able to do so. It seems that they've just been playing festivals in these countries every since. Am I missing something? I guess it is simply "easier" to latch on to a festival than to promote your own gig(????).
  11. every single band, bigger and smaller than PJ passed through Italy since 2006 .. not PJ (and Soundgarden..) .. so i don't blame on local amministration/promoter at all .. Eddie solo tour in 2012 told me a lot .. everything was settled and then .. last minute step back
    similar for the other countries you mention i suppose

    ps: 2006 5 dates .. all sold out ... Immagine in Cornice seems to be more and more a farewell gift
    ppss: here they're much more popular than in 06
