1. Yes, both Pride and Bad were the surprises.
  2. its funny how pride and bad on past tours and even in the 80s were played nightly but now it's like ZOMFG BAD! I love Bad but Im really happy its as rare as it is now, it would lose its meaning almost if it ever became a staple again and was overdone like *insert your own pet peeve song*

It was like this on the Vertigo Tour, and I preferred it then cause it was almost always in the encore. Kind of weird to finish Bad and think that you still have half a show ahead of you. Dunno, could just be me.

Agree completely. Back then too it was just one of their newer songs they were still just learning how to play right live, and now...it's epic.

    *moment of surrender*
  6. The band resumed with a standard setlist after "Bad", playing "In a Little While" and are currently on COBL. Standard setlist should end the night, though who knows what will open the encore. I haven't checked U2.com's lyric listings for the encore opener but I'm betting its Batman.

Don't post what the encore opener is if you've been to U2.com and checked. There are people here who prefer to follow the setlist as it is released, and if they wanted to know for sure, they would check themselves.

  7. i understand it´s your opinion, but, as i see, moment of surrender might not be that great live, i don´t know my opinion yet, but it´s definetly not overplayed... it´s its first tour!

Uh, "crazy tonight." - actually that was never any good so I'll go with "In A Little While." They're killing it by playing it all the time!!!!

  9. Adios to another NLOTH song. Only three to go.

  10. According to U2gigs, there were a handful of dates on the Vertigo tour where only 3 songs from Bomb were played. To me, it might be just part of the process of a long tour. They may get bored with certain songs and want to switch things up/try new things. Not necessarily the sound of defeat in my opinion.

  11. They're no more admitting defeat than they were at the end of the Vertigo Tour. U2gigs mentions that there were a handful of gigs on that tour that only had 3 HTDAAB songs, simply because the tour had evolved into something so different from when it had started that it was the only way to keep it fresh and still entertain the fans that go for the greatest hits.

If they were still playing six songs from NLOTH every night, we'd have such little room for rotation that we'd be bitching about that instead. Better to take each night as it comes, and take this tour as the 360 Tour- not the No Line on the Horizon tour. It's been going on for almost 2 years now, they were bound to drop the ones that wouldn't have stuck around for another tour anyway. Only Vertigo and COBL made it through to the next round of tours- what's the big deal if they're only playing 3 songs from the record almost 2 years after they've been out on tour if they were the only ones they thought were strong enough to save anyway?

I loved Love and Peace Or Else, but that didn't make it and I'm not complaining about it. It was fun while it lasted and I'm okay with that. I WISH the early NLOTH songs were back in the set, but this gives you such a broader span of show types to listen to. The 2009 first leg was SO different than this leg its almost a different tour entirely. That has its good, and it has its bad. We can't change anything about it, so you might as well embrace the good. We're all fans of this band.
