  1. oooh São Paaaaaulo, São Paaaaaulo, São Paulooooo (bono at Morumbi, 2006 lol)

Catching the plane tomorrow night, can't wait!! I live in Belém, which is far as fuck from São Paulo. 4 days by car (just to give you an idea). Spent a lot of money on the plane tickets and concert tickets but I don't give a damn. Saturday will be my first ever U2 gig. Really looking forward to it!! I'm also attending the second night. The only reason I'm not going to the third night is because my boss didn't give the whole week off. When I asked him, he said: "nah, nah, nah you're already going to two nights, please be back on monday and get back to work". Haha.

Fuck it man, I'm so happy!!
  2. News are saying that there are about 200 people in line already!

They told this story about a guy who sold his car to watch the concerts....

Selling your car to see the shows - that's true dedication.

They also played Mothers Of The Disappeared, but I don't think that's directly related to rain.
Somehow I always imagined MOTD being played in the rain.

"In the rain we see their tears, hear their heart beat..."
"See their tears in the rainfall...."

I don't know yet, maybe around lunchtime. I live in Atibaia so it's quite a trip to the stadium And you?

I'll be there around 18 pm at the first show since I got tickets in the orange sector and I'll try to be there before lunch time on the other 2 shows.

  6. have the best 3 days of your life Aidan

  7. It's more than just the lyrics. It's also the way they have been playing it on the 360 Tour (as opposed to the Joshua Tree, Pop Mart, and Vertigo Tours where it was played. They've got that bagpipe sounding thing going in the background and it's just The Edge playing the melody, Bono with the lyrics, and Larry with the strong drumbeat every now and then. They also like to extend the ending for quite a while, giving the song a totally different feel from when it was played in prior tours.

It sounds like a song you would hear at a memorial service, so the rainfall fits very well.
Also, it makes for a perfect lead in to Walk On.

  8. and then he had to sell the tickets to buy a car for going to the shows ..

  9. Hopefully, taxis and public transportation are there to help the person who sold his car for tickets.

  10. See there's the problem. But public transport and taxis etc are usually around for big shows so he should be good. But what's he gonna do when he needs to get elsewhere?
