1. I wonder if it's too long for the fans, not for the tour itself.
By fans, I mean not all of course...
  2. I don't think it's too long for the great majority of fans, just for all the hardcore fans who travel across the world to see multiple shows, which I do realize constitutes quite a few members on this site.

For some places, the wait for U2's next arrival felt far longer than this tour.

But all in all, it depends on the band. Do they feel worn out by the tour? Based on their past few shows, I think the answer is a definitive no.
  3. For the set that they created, I suppose that it is best for them to tour it for as long as possible....

Maybe they should consider signing on in Vegas to promote their next album...Wayne Newon could use the company....and no, they wouldn't play at O'Shea's.
  4. I think everyone here is tired about the complainig... I think we all want to tweak somethings, but we can´t really get them... we can´t always get what we want!

I´m just happy I´m finally going to see them this weekend and I hope that I can see some different songs live than I have before... I have never seen ISHFWILF or IWF and it will be great!

What really bothers me is how they tend to set the expectations for the albums too high and too soon... this creates a bad feeling. If they just said "We´re working, songs are being written, we hope it doesn´t take long for you to hear"... And sometimes I wish they´d feel less like a company and more like a band...

Anyway, we all think they can do better in somethings, like everybody can! I think complaining (to a certain point) is normal, but we shall not forget we can´t always get what we want and that u2 is great!

We all have connections with the band and we all want to enjoy U2 the most we can! They are great, we all know that and we love them!

    Peace

I completely agree with you. In fact, I've never been to a U2 show before and I have a GA ticket for Anaheim sitting in an envelope taped to the wall of my room.

I can't wait for June to come around!

  6. Oh yeah like i said when i opened the topic,im hardcore and love EVERY era (like all fans you have your own fav songs etc) but they really shouldn't have dumped the new tunes.I have no problem with whatever they play be it Boy/October stuff,Popmart or Elevation so be it but please play more of the latest stuff.
