1. Does anyone know anything about the new intro for one, that was reported at the dress rehearsal?
  2. 2) I'm going to try to be serious and not disrespectful at all: but please, please, someone tell the US audiences that rock shows are rock shows and not funerals.

just so in with Sergio the crowd look dumb where are the hands in " Al you look so beautiful " ..
if i was there i would say : what's wrong with this crowd i am starting my own party ...!!!
  3. Is it because the Americans have all seaters? are the pitch parts (GA) standing or seating because all seaters really does rip the heart out of a show.

    [YouTube Video]

Ahaha I like this outfit better, makes a boring song like COBL semi interesting now imo

LOL I like how you're judging that off a youtube clip. I saw a hell of a reaction during Zooropa based off a youtube clip.

The band just has to be more impressive in the US to get a response. we aren't as easliy impressed as the rest of the world Im not gonna lie, at Anahiem I'm probably gonna not care about the BD or Walk On or WOWY soo don't expect a crowd reaction from me for those songs. Does that mean that Im less of a fan that a berserk Irishman or Italian? No way.

Have you ever thought that.... maybe people here in the US go to concerts to -listen to music?!- instead of jumping around and screaming during the whole show? If it was up to me know what I'd be doing for a majority of the concert? Sitting down and taking everything in. I'm not going to shout songs at the top of my lungs, I paid to hear the band do that.

If the remaining members of Pink Floyd ever get back together and play some shows, for the love of Allah, please LikeASong, do not attend. You will be bored out of your mind by the crowd just sitting there.

By any means. For example, tapers use to be excellent fans, and nevertheless they spend most of the concerts completely quiet, without singing, clapping or jumping
I know what I speak about. I say that US audiences are not as devoted -as a whole- like European or South American audiences. This is an old debate, and there is general consensus about it, so no need to re-open it. It's just that it -negatively- surprised me not seeing a single arm waving to a 00's classic like COBL. I judge from this particular Youtube clip, but also from all the clips and bootlegs I've seen or listened through the years, and even from the official DVDs they release. US audiences are quieter and less participative than European or SA ones, period.

True, nonetheless I still love how U2 seem to step it up whenever they arrive in America. (Madison Square Garden 2001/5, DVD's, Your Blue Room in 09, and now a much better setlist and differences to the past legs )

Then, what do you think when Bono shuts up and lets the audience listen? No, wait, the right word was sing, sorry!

I wouldn't sing along to a Beethoven symphony. I wouldn't jump to a Daniel Boremboin's Orchestra concert. But hey, I really do think that jumping and singing along to a U2 concert is the right thing to do, man.
  11. I think it's just a culture thing. 'Most' Americans do go to see a show rather than to become part of a concert. I'm not painting them all with the same brush but it's just a general feeling I get and I think it's a little fair to criticize them for it. I'm sure there's just as many that like to jump and sing as crazily as the rest of us.

I'd love to see a show in the US for the more relaxed nature of it. A hotdog and a beer during Magnificent or Walk On seems excellent.
  12. If the Americans enjoy it that way than it's ok with me. But I wouldnt go to a concert in the USA
