Also, I was responding to the Edges quote of how "radically different" the show is.I disagree. With no new songs, and 75% of the set being the same as 2009,that is not "radically different".

I also said I LIKE the setlist.I expect most of the same from U2.I have followed them live for over 25 years, and they have never really mixed things up alot during a tour. That, is why Im so disappointed.Im kinda down that they dropped the new tunes.

I believe I also mentioned that I will be HAPPY to hear that exact set ,at both shows, in Montreal. But is it "radically different".I dont think it is.Sorry if you dont agree.

Again...I wish the NEW SONGS from last year were back in.......thats not BITCHING.

I know it's hard for a lot of hardcore fen to accept, but the setlist decisions are just not made with us in mind. I was at the first show where they played "Your Blue Room". I was ecstatic, but outside of the crazy people in the pit, the rest of the stadium was completely thrown and uncomfortably quiet. Bono hates that a lot. Most performers do, especially when they're used to wild adulation.

Don't get me wrong, I miss those songs too. I'd love for the new songs to still be in, but I think the guys have got it right this time; North American audiences want to hear the songs they know, so that's what they'll get.

So how about those Winnipeg reviews?

When you do please please stop whinning. They have played a great diversity of material this tour, why keep complaining?
It was the same in ZooTV and Popmart

    U2's 360° Tour
We found 59 different songs played during these shows.

    U2's Vertigo Tour
We found 60 different songs played during these shows.

    U2's PopMart Tour
We found 55 different songs played during these shows.

    U2's ZOO TV Tour
We found 54 different songs played during these shows.

See that? Almost 20 shows to be played yet and they have played 59 different songs, one less than the Vertigo tour you keep talking about

WTF ?..OK..again,for the last time. What I said was,I wish the band kept the new tunes in.Now a few of you have your balls in a knot.Relax

I mentioned Vertigo 2005,because I liked that tour.Is that ok? Also, patssox brought up the tour.I liked the fact that they opened and closed with so many different songs,in the year 2005.Not over a 3 year period.

I also said,I like the current setlist.I just wish a couple of the news songs, like Mercy and North Star could be in the set. Also,Spiderman could use a boost. The show here in NYC has received awful reviews.

That being said,I LIKE THE SETLIST !!!!!!!!!!!!

    Is that clear ????

A simple question is not a complaint.IMO the show could use Mercy and North Star.If you dont agree.Thats cool.I dont really care.Neither should you.

    I checked U2gigs,as Im sure you did.Quite a few of the songs you are counting,are snippets,example, New York,New York.Thats not a song,neither is Happy Birthday.U2 Gigs count it.Just saying.....
  3. I just realized they haven't played Bullet all this tour. With Bono's voice sounding better on this tour...I think it would be pretty cool, especially with the claw and all. Not complaining about the set, just noticing they haven't played it. That is all.

Very true.At my show,09.23.09,when the band played Your Blue Room,my whole section just looked around. The guys I went to the show with were like,WTF tune is this ??

Many also ran for more beers,or the restrooms.

But,I think the American fans would love to hear songs like Mercy and North Star.Mercy was released on WAIE album.

Again, these are just my thoughts...NOT COMPLAINTS.

    PEACE.

    Please stop COMPLAINING.

    LOL....
  6. Id much rather have the set they played last night than any from the last 6 legs. I like

All I Want is You > Still Haven't Found
Zooropa > In a Little While
    Even Better > Breathe

    just sayin'

    Agreed.But, I wouldnt mind hearing..

    Mercy > Crazy Remix
    North Star > Stay
No Line On The Horizon > Boots
    Mofo > Elevation

    Just Sayin'

  8. A WORLD of NO. Stay is a gorgeous piece of pop, North Star is at best, a promising start to a song that needs more work.

  9. "Stay" is the best song they've ever written. Bono said so.

  10. +1!!!

Stay is U2's most beautiful song. North Star is nothing compared to Stay.

Watch Stay from the second Mexico City concert and you're mind will completely change.
  11. Stay is just so beautiful, it's a song of perfection with so much emotion! "staaaaaaaaay"
