1. Side note, how's the golf weather in Sweden these days? haha

Haha, thanks I'll have to agree that the downward movement is nice.

The golf weather has started to come, been like 40-50F the last few days. Wouldn't surprise me if I start playing this month.
  3. Olof i got really jelous at the 0.56 mark, wish my driver shots were even half as good as that

  4. Haha, I hit the driver well last year. It's such an advantage hitting 230-250 meter drives when you're if you hit the fairway. I hope I'll do that again this year.

Brian: I use a Mizuno MP-630 FastTrack driver. The heads on those are the same heads they use on tour, so it's not the easiest driver to hit, which is good.

I hope to get a new set of irons this year. The ones I have right now are the Mizuno MX-100 irons. Very forgiving clubs. Got them when my handicap was 34... and they were very good for me back then I think. Nowadays though, my hcp is 11,6 and I think I could benefit from some clubs for better players. I'll probably get Mizuno again. I love Mizuno.

I recently realized that getting new wedges would be a good idea as well, the grooves are pretty much worn out, especially on my 56° and 60° wedges. The 52° wedge is still doing fine, don't use it as much. How many wedges do you people carry? I carry four, PW, 52°, 56° and 60°. I think it's the club to have many of, they can really save some strokes, the lower lofted clubs don't do that a lot (except the putter of course).

I'm also looking to change my MW#5 and hybrid. The shaft on those are like spaghetti in my hands. Can't use them. Thinking a MW#3 and a pretty low-lofted hybrid would give me some serious length off the fairway.

    This is gonna be expensive.
  5. One of my friends once told me he believes I like golf clubs more than women....I thought about it for a couple seconds then realized he might be right haha

I also carry four wedges, same as you PW, 52, 56, 60. Definitely need to have stiff shafts on your clubs. Saw a nice improvement in my game once i didn't have to deal with a whippy shaft. I carry a 3w and a 19 degree 3 hybrid. No complaints although i have problems launching the 3w off of tight lies in the fairway some of the time.

That's pretty much what I'm thinking of carrying as well. Sounds like we have similar bags. What loft do you have on your driver? Mine is 10.5°.
  7. I was able to play today. Shockingly the course was somewhat dry and in decent shape for this time of the year. I had an 88 which is solid for me for my first round of the year. Game was definitely quite rusty. I hit at least 4 or 5 just atrocious chips. It was great to be out on the course though again.

I have a 9.5, although my new driver is tuneable so right now i have it tuned to 9.0 with a neutral face at impact. I only have played one round with it so far and i was really trying to get used to it and was playing around with the settings but im a big fan so far. I really need to get it to an outdoor range for a day and just play around with the different settings on it to see what they all do.
  9. Changing settings during a round is forbidden

That's a very good first round!! I'm afraid I'll have a few rounds in the 100s.
  10. Just found a Youtube video of one of my favorite golf holes, it's pretty poor quality though. Very beautiful hole And I'm lucky enough to have it at my home course.

Boo for those playing the coward tee not hitting over the ravine.
  11. I hit the driving range today. Was a very mixed bag of shots. Think it's time to start practicing again after half a year of very little golf. Need to get my game together. My course will open its summer greens in about a month, other courses nearby already have.
  12. I've played three times so far this year its ridiculously warm still. My game is pretty decent for being so early...however my chipping is absolutely atrocious. I have no feel around the greens at all right now. No particularly worried about it though more pleased to be getting an early start this season.
