I bought up Westboro after seeing a documentary about them last week, I think it was. They're extreme in their views and of course they believe what they're saying. According to Wikipedia, Fred Phelps saw 'certain activity in a park' and decided to have a whinge about it and here he is all these years later preaching his crap to the world, except he's done the unthinkable - bringing young children into it - a child doesn't even know about this sort of thing, and should be left to be a child until they reach that age of when they become a young adult. Of course, most sane people see the picketing as ridiculous and a little extreme.

As a friend of a number of vets, I find there actions at military funeraels beyond the pale.
  2. Random: Aaron, have you always had that avatar?

  3. Except for the first month or two I was on here, yep.

Also random: I met my districts congressman (state level, not national level) yesterday at a 9/11 memorial service. I can understand the liberals in my county disagreeing with him on policy, but not those who attack him on a personal level. He seemed like a very nice guy.
  4. I actually remember when you first registered here.
  5. Long time eh. I still remember when I registered here, quite a few people here that aren't now - and how different the site was.
  6. The site didn't have me going crazy back then.
  7. You were only a new fan weren't you at the time, or relatively new?

  8. More U2 specific stuff. Know its alot more of just random discussions and stuff. Not that thats a bad thing. U2 fans are great for most discussions.

  9. I remember when I first really became a fan. Spring 2007. I had always liked the band, but I wasen't really a hardcore fan. Than I bought the Joshua Tree, and listened to it back to back like 10 times in a row. I actually fell asleep on the last time through, I think during RTSS.
  10. Now I started thinking about when I became a real fan, before I just loved BD and had it on my iPod.
