1. spreading infos from fan to fan it's always a pleasure...
  2. yeah the vocals were at the end, I remember it well! But it doesn't matter, to me it's a decent enough performance of Elevation. Enjoyable, no more, no less. Would have preferred another song other than Elevation but that's another topic...
  3. I like the fact they took the vocals from the end and made it part of the track, though I think it's a little, just a little odd because the crowd effectively start Elevation on U22, it's as thought they're psychic. I still love it though.

Just downloaded Gelsenkirchen, will give it a listen later.
  4. Can't believe none of the tracks from Croke Park gigs made the cut...especially the July 27th gig
  5. I wonder if Crazy Tonight was the same July 27th version that was released on Wide Awake In Europe and Artificial Horizon?

don't think so because i vaguely remember u2.com saying that Crazy Tonight had a "lovely discotheque medley" in it... we'll never know though D:

  7. I remember people were saying that Bono's voice died after the 3 Dublin shows, this proves them wrong! This version however is EPIC.

Not sure...on a general point from what I've heard of U22 it seems as usual the band has tried to compile what they see as the best technical performances of each song that was voted for. As we all know with U2 sometimes an imperfect live performance technically can be elevated to brilliance by the atmosphere and emotion from Bono.. check it out

  9. I think Dublin 3 is overrated imo and that 1 & 2 are better but i'm gonna watch this again cuz i haven't heard much of 360 2009 in forever

Oh god, what have we done? I suppose we have Montreal for a good broadcast quality version, so not all is lost.

Yeah, I often find myself preferring performances where it's not 100% perfect, vocally in particular. I like a little roughness and emotion in Bono's performances. The Ultra Violet on U22 is great, but it's probably a little too well rounded for my liking. In the video you linked, he lets his voice 'go' more than he does in the version from Coimbra. I like that. Although, what does he sing at the "price of love" part?

  11. The "price of love" has many variations.

I've heard him say "I guess that's the price of love, and the price isn't right, if the price is cheap" in the Anaheim 2 version. I'm not sure what he says in the U22 version, though.
  12. No, I meant in the Croke Park video that badirishcharlie posted. In U22 he sings " I guess it's the price of love, and the price of love, isn't love if it's cheap".
