1. The 09 versions of 'the price of love' are pretty much all ramble to me. I prefer his 09 performances of the song overall though. Barca 1, Dublin 3 and Wembley 2 always stand out.
  2. So which iterations of "the price of love" do people most prefer?

    Yeah, it's sounds like gibberish.

"I feel like it's a price to pay, and I know that it's not cheap" - Barcelona, 2009-07-02
"I know that the prices are not right, and it's not often that cheap" - Sheffield, 2009-08-20
"I guess it's the price of love, and the price of love, isn't love if it's cheap" - Coimbra, 2010-10-03 (U22)

Obviously, these may be re-used throughout the tour, I know a very similar variation of the Coimbra line is sung in Montreal for example, but I'm just showing where I know them from. If anyone else has any other good variation, I'd be more than happy to pick them up for a listen
  4. My favorite, as mentioned before, is
"I guess that's the price of love, and the price isn't right, if the price is cheap" - Anaheim, 2011-6-18
  5. I don't like any of them. Original for me, thanks.
  6. I've only just listened to it, or watched it on the rather amazing multicam that I'm yet to watch in it's entirety. I love how he drops his voice for that particular line.

I think they're all great little interchangable lines that all tie in well with the meaning of the track. The thing I hate about the Coimbra/U22 version is the "hard cash" line. It just sounds a complete mess. Just stick to "secret".
  7. I like the Montreal broadcast version.. "I guess it's the price of love, and the price of love, isn't right if it's cheap"
  8. Anaheim 2, simply because when he gets to that line he drops his voice and makes it sound SUPER intimating for a second then goes ALL OUT for the chorus can't believe I witnessed it :')
  9. Apparently Ticketmaster have been sending out e-mails giving away two more dates:

    16. MLK/WALK ON
    - Zagreb, Croatia at Maksimir Stadium, 9 or 10 August 2009

    17. ONE
    - Hampden Park, Glasgow, Scotland, 18 August 2009

What does Ticketmaster have to do with U22?!
  11. Well the folks at U2Wanderer suspect that it is part of the LiveNation/U2 partnership. Ticketmaster was the primary site for purchasing tickets (UK/Europe at least) so I suspect they may be trying to drum up more subscribers by pointing out to all those who bought tickets through Ticketmaster that there is a special souvenier available.

I don't know if LiveNation are affiliated with Ticketmaster, if they are then it makes even more sense.

EDIT: Yeah, Ticketmaster and LiveNation merged in 2010 to become Live Nation Entertainment.
  12. Yes, they are. Livenation hosts&promotes the events, Ticketmaster sells the tickets. At least it works like that here in Spain.

What puzzles me is what on earth is Ticketmaster doing by promoting U22? U2.com, of course... But Ticketmaster? I mean, they win nothing with people subscribing to U2.com... Do they?
