1. But on the other hand it's nice to see that the same selection doesn't contain Vertigo nor Elevation.
  2. you find fertile ground with me on this
  3. No song should be a protected species. There shouldn't be a golden rule that Streets must be included. Especially, given the numerous versions already in circulation. That said, the argument is academic, as we all know that Streets will make the final U22 selection.

Personally, I'd drop City of Blinding Lights from Willie's list. It's overrated and is late era U2 by numbers. Unknown Caller never took off live either imho.

yeah i honestly wouldn't include it on this unless it has an amazing snippet as a segue

  6. You been to a U2 show recently? The place goes ballistic when Streets comes on!
  7. Come on, Streets is on every release but it's hardly a skipper. Sydney, Slane, Popmart? All great versions in my opinion. It's a staple for a reason, it IS a U2 concert. Admittedly, the thought of it doesn't rub my lamp but man, when it kicks in? It's just unstoppable U2.

Recently enough to hear that Bono can't sing it any more. There's plenty of Streets to go around already.
  9. I see your point but I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one.
  10. Do we know what shows the shortlist is from?

They're all awesome, even when Bono's voice isn't so great. The band plays with so much energy that his voice doesn't really matter too much.

idk man, i remember the 09 shows were awful because of the crappy segue between Desmond and Streets but it got MUCH better by 2010 and '11.
