  1. There has been a string of break-ins, and a possible arson in my neighborhood. I have no evidence at all, but I have a gut-feeling an old friend of mine is behind this shit. What should I do? Should I give the cops an anonymous tip (even though I have no evidence). Should I confront him about it? If I go with the later should I be direct, or feel it out carefully? Should I make a note with my suspicions in them, and give it to someone with the instructions to open it if something happens to me?


    Fuck.
  2. Full disclosure: I have a four inch knife in my pocket right now, and am making a list of where every potential weapon is in my house, in case I need them.
  3. Seriously freaking out right now. Just because I'm paranoid, does not mean I'm crazy.
  4. Yeah if you're concerned quite seriously, let the police know straight away.

  5. I have no evidence, at all. I don't want to go to them on just a gut feeling.
  6. Having no evidence, if they might be able to line that up with someone else's thoughts, might be better than none. At least they'd have a lead to go on.

    I'm a criminal justice student (and a good one). I need to do this the right way.
  8. Well the right way isn't going about stabbing someone or shooting them. It's a great way to (possibly) guarantee that they're not gonna try anything stupid again, but in the sight of the law (LOL the law) it probably won't pass so well.

    They are the ones I first heard about the break-ins from. Just seems weird to bring them up in a conversation with an old friend who is studying to be a cop(especially if they did it). Also, the fire has not been proven to be an arson yet. I need to wait awhile. See what happens next.

    That would seem odd if the person studying just randomly brings them up - and yeah definitely, but keep an eye on them and what's happening around ye.

    I'm the one studying. They brought it up to me. They where actually question for the break-ins by a deputy, but there was no evidence at all (except they look like punks. I'm not gonna lie, alot of my friends look like punks) and let go on the spot.
  12. Aha. If they're telling you then (if you're the one studying), maybe - and you've probably already thought this, or not - they're trying to confide in you because you're a close friend?

    I've been pulled over before by cops in the street because I was told I was looking slightly suspicious. They didn't tell me how, so really it can happen to anyone.
