  3. I don't know...I'm Dutch and I am familiair with this for more than 30 years...

    It circulated widely on audio tapes in the Netherlands back in the 80-ies (So, in fact, I've heard this more than I watched it..)

    Wow can be used to express surprise and not always in a positive way.

    People say "Wow" to express they are shocked, doesn't have to be positive
