1. I'm getting sentimental thinking about that The Ark concert here.
  2. As you do when something was so awesome, you do think about it. I know a lot of shows I've thought about again and thought wow, that was a really good show.

Next one is Duran Duran in March.
  3. I'm watching a Youtube video of a song from that concert. I kinda feel like crying a bit.
  4. 'Cos it's their last one and you know there'll never be another one?

I was the same with Michael Jackson....there were four songs that I wanted to see him do live, and unfortunately not. Ah well. But then half the bands and singers I really wanted to see just once aren't around any more.

Hearing this live would have been epic:

  5. Yeah, it was their last concert in my city. And three weeks after it The Ark was no more. It sure set a very special setting for the concert knowing it was the last one, and I think the band felt very strongly about it as well. Our city was one of the first where they hit big time.
  6. So it was in a way 'homecoming' for them too. They'd have been a great band to see, from what I have seen of them.
  7. They are absolutely amazing live. The singer probably beats Bono at being a great frontman and leading a crowd. At least he's in that league.

Not exactly a homecoming, but a very important city for them.

  8. This is a video from the other concert I saw with them. This is an absolutely epic opener. And I can see myself in the video

    EDIT: Forgot the excellent video

  9. No no I meant a home like where they made it big.

But yeah, he's like someone I'm thinking - Alice Cooper, who gets the crowd going and knows how to engage them in a show and whatever it is he's doing. Better than those guys that just stand there and sing and look bored as all fuck - again, Roy did that but he was doing something there, something incredible.

    Video not showing up...

Edit: you were in the white shirt with the sunglasses and about 19 foot tall?
  10. Edited in the video I was gonna post above.

Yeah, he's such an energetic performer, and has the crowd under total control. Tells great stories about the songs.
  11. Sometimes those people can become boring with their stories but at times you like to know to get a real feel for the song, and his emotions.

I should post some show videos I went to. Like:

    (unexpected this at the show)

    and...one for you.

  12. Ok, let's have some fun. Here's another video from the same festival as the video above. Guess what time this was:
