  1. Glad to hear the taping went decently then! I'm ashamed to admit that I don't think I could ever trade a front row spot for a good bootleg. Something about the sweat in my eyes, the hot air breathing in and out, and the sores that come with slamming against a front rail....those memories are just alright with me.

    I have infinite respect for whoever can actually have the will power to step back and tape, though Kudos to you Sergio, and (wet) hats off!

    Yup, saw them in November. It was absoutely mental. Brilliant show.


    Foo Fighters, Madonna, Kelly Clarkson, LMFAO, and Cee Lo are who are supposed to be appearing at the halftime show- you should at least tune in for that. Don't like half the acts but it's a pretty monster-pop lineup and Foos are sure to kick some ass.
  3. Matt, it was dangerously crowded. I mean that it was terribly, awesomely, incredibly and unbearingly (?) crowded. Worst "people sandwiching" I've ever witnessed or lived. Miles worse than Muse, Coldplay, U2 or Red Hot. In fact, there were 8-10 people around me who fainted only during the Miles' 40-mins set.

    Holy crap, I'm sorry to hear that. Foo Fighters was pretty terrible at Lollapalooza- lottt of that people sandwiching. People rushed the barrier when they took the stage and started Bridge Burning, and took down a bunch of the crowd in their rampage. Through the show, if you climbed up on shoulders, you could see the steam circling through the crowd. It was about 10 or 15 degrees colder just above shoulder level. Friend of mine started throwing up a bit and almost fainted but we kept her hydrated.

    Sorry to hear that had to be the case. Glad I have seats for them and The Black Keys in March.

    Only when Miles' show ended. Until then, you had to survive on your own water&glucose reserves or just faint and be taken out. It was dangerous. And yes, that's exactly it: I couldn't even move my own hands (I wasn't exactly on the first row - I didn't have any heads in front of me but I wasn't touching the barrier either - it was just a fucking unconvenient spot). Not even mention that taping in that conditions would have been dangerous for my brand new gear


  9. That happened to me the second time I saw My Chemical Romance. It was after the support act (The Blackout) that I almost fainted. I then got loads of water from first aid, got back into the crowd, then I saw MCR. It was only at the end that I felt sick. I was almost sick, but I managed to stop myself throwing up.
  10. I heard that back when Springsteen played Soldier Field back in the 80s, he played on a July day so hot that security was up on barriers on either side of the stage all day with firehouse-strength water sprayers dousing the crowd that was waiting all day.

    The friend of mine that told me the story also said that during Springsteen's show, if you passed out in the pit, security dragged you up onstage off to the side where there was immediate medical attention...but it was ON the actual stage side, not in the space between the barrier and the front. One girl faked passing out, got dragged up on stage, and ran to try to hug Bruce...but she got tackled and sent to the back of the GA field!

    That's wrong that. They should be handing out water at all times. But when they do that, you always get the concert noob who isn't even sweating that bad who drinks the whole cup then people a few rows back give them deserved abuse. Greedy.
  12. Sometimes in GA shows I attend it gets so hot and sweaty and fucking amazing that the lead singer gives you his bottle of red wine to drink from
