    The screen fades to white if its not positioned properly. If I apply pressure to a certain part of the screen (the bottom, closest to where it connects to the base) it stays fine...so I've got a pen wedged into a gap there to keep it working unfortunately. It's probably nothing they'd teach you about in a general computer class since it's probably a connection issue with the LCD screen itself.

    Probably some kind of loose connection.

    Yeah, we learn about buses and RAM and multimedia, code, how websites are developed etc.
