1. @Alexandra that flower is awesome!

    @Gerard very cool shot!
  2. Just pulled the trigger on a super cheap Nikon P7100, refurbished in Germany, new for under 1/3 of its price new (110€ instead of 350). It suits my wish for a concert camera and it has an external microphone input, so it's basically perfect for my purpose. 10x zoom is more than enough for concerts too, and it allows for an all-manual control too
  3. When DPReview is positive, you have something nice in your hands! Have fun using it
  4. I've been looking at a DSLR recently. Not near a purchase yet, but any recommendations are welcome

  5. Their review is what actually made me decide towards the 7100, it seems just too nice for the price (not 350 bucks, but the refurbished one) and the microphone input is a deal maker for me.

    LO-VE-LY beast! It has more controls and features than I'll ever use I'm afraid
  7. Great sighting of the ISS on Sunday but I missed it with my camera (didn't have one on me). Luckily, there's another potentially good sighting tonight, so I'll head out to capture some of it (my compact only has 8sec max).
  8. 8 seconds ain't too bad. The ISS moves pretty fast so anything above 5 seconds should be fine I think.
  9. I got it with 8 seconds before but it appeared as a very short line. My HS10 can do up to 30 seconds, but I've lent that to someone
  10. 20-30 seconds is optimal indeed. Which camera are you using tonight for it?
  11. Nothing, the cloud rolled in
  12. Whops
