Hi there. I was a subscriber in 2009 but stopped being so in 2010. Now I want to subscribe again. I had planned to get this year's gift (the U22 album) from eBay or something, but prices of U22 there are well over the price of a standard subscription so I might as well subscribe and not give my money to some scalper. So my question is: are U22's still being give to those who subscribe now? Thanks a lot. Best regards, Sergio Santos.

  2. ^ yep, I thought the same in the very moment I read Kieran's post
  3. She has a 100% record of unhelpful responses. Perhaps we should request that she be fired.
  4. I don't think she reads queries properly. Not very good at her job, is she?
  5. These are "standard" replies for sure, copypasted into the email. I don't doubt that there's really a Barbara working for CS LiveNation but I doubt she actually *reads* the emails.
  6. Barbara has replied to the email I sent back to her. The message I sent was me just stating that I have four months left on my subscription and it seems that I'm alone in not getting the gift.

She said: "My recommendation is to go ahead and renew again for the package you would like, then send me an email and I will refund your previous purchase."

Hmm, should I go with it? I wonder if I actually would get a refund in the end. Although, if I went with the $75 package where you get U22, From the Ground Up and the ZooTV CD, that would be worth it. That means I would also get another U22, which means I actually benefit out of it.
  7. excuse me Kieran .. just me trying to understand.
you subscribed in july and you received the gift (U22) at that time .. right? .. you're done with that subscription
my expiring date is in october and i missed From The Ground Up for a couple of weeks.
you should not be supposed to receive any other until you renew (you can do any time and they add one year to your expiring date)

but maybe i haven't understood well the case
  8. Yes, that is correct. I instantly thought I would receive From the Ground Up purely because I have a subscription which still has four months left to run. So what you're saying is if I subscribed in last July and got U22, I would have to pay an extra $40 to renew to get From the Ground Up? Kind of ridiculous if you ask me, considering we pay a lot already. I know it's a lot to publish, but they've ripped fans off the past - hence why I haven't subscribed to them - so this should be them owing the subscribers back.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding it all, but all I know now is that I'll be getting a full refund off the unreliable Barbara for renewing with the $75 subscribers' gift. Sounds good to me.
  9. very good for you

    difference from 10c
U2.com: you have the "gift" that is in "store" at the moment you subscribe/renew (one time per subscription)
10c: you will have the "gifts" that will be put out after the date of your subscription (one time per subscription)
  10. Remember when we all camped out in here for the 'rare and unusual U2 content' announcement that turned out to be the Tiesto mix? Haha, a great day.
  11. Barbara has replied:

"Thank you for your email. I actually discovered that you should not be refunded, however I have processed the refund, as a courtesy."

That is brilliant! She messed up and has now had refund me with the money because she told me to go ahead with the order. Kieran wins!
