lol! My all time favorite discussed-person!
Well I hope the band learn a lesson from this and choose a good director for the next tour...maybe Catherine Owens, who knows!

Go down there during Hannah Montana 3D and there'll be 200 kids (and maybe more).

100 per cent guaranteed. I like the sounds of that new song too (No Line on the Horizon).

He reaches beneath the seat and pulls out a CD case, withdrawing a hand-labeled disc. "I have just the right song for it ... if I can find it."

He slips the CD into the player and heavy distortion fills the car. It's a song called "No Line on the Horizon," which the band is developing for their next album. "It came out of a new distortion box that my guitar tech got," the Edge says.

And if you read further they might put it out as a single in the next few months - new album getting closer, anyone?
  3. Not sure if this has been posted yet...a couple new clips talking about the movie from yahoo.com:

  4. there's a U2 3D banner on ebay right now. The auction ends in like three days. you can just type in U2 banner. The auction number is 280194799137. This thing is gigantic.
  5. God, it's huge! 8x5 feet and seven pounds. And expensive too - but very cool.
  6. Spoilers Below!

First of all as a 21 years old Dutch guy, being a couple of weeks in New York for an internship, is an awesome experience! But having the opportunity of going to U23D is the finishing touch! I was looking foreward to it such a long time and yesterday was the BIG day. After all the comments over here I was so exciting and went up to 66th Street with a huge expectation! Ofcourse I was way to early so I could secure myself from the best seat in the theater....WHile waiting I extually get nervous for the 'show' the way I was when I went to my first live show in Amsterdam 2005.
The theatre was sold out so that made it look more like a real show and as soon as I saw the first shot of Larry sitting behind his drumkit with the huge South American crowd in the back, I felt like I was there myself! OMG what a cool feeling is that. The first moment you feel like being on stage with the band and 10 seconds later you're in the crowd with people in front of you blocking your view. At some points it felt like Bono was singing the show just for me, incredibbe!!!!! Absolute highlights is SBS when Bono is screaming the 'Wrap your tears away' part right in your face. Also almost all the shots of Larry and his drumkit are so unbelievably real. Then ofcourse The Fly with all the letters, sentences etc. popping up right in your face is just awesome! Just like the neck of Adam's bass and Edge's guitar flying above your head when he turns around....MAN it is sooooooo cool!!!! I feel like I can write an hour about how stunning U23D is but I don't want to reveal everything for the once who didnt saw it yet. All I want to add is: Be aware, this is some serious AWESOME stuff!!!!!!!!

p.s. I had to force myself not to jump onto my chair and scream, sing and dance just like the South Americans.......

    Gotta go there....
  8. My apologies if there's been previous mention of this but will there be a DVD release of this film? Of course the 3D effects would be nonexistant, but it would still be an awesome thing to have.

I'm heading out in a couple of hours to the Edwards IMAX in Ontario, CA for both showings at 9:30 and 11:30 tonight. The reviews here have been very exciting and have gotten me totally stoked for this event. Cannot freaking wait!
  9. THE SHOW WAS AMAZING!!! i just saw it in Chicago. it felt so real! the only part i disliked about it was that although the show was sold out, no one but me and a group of 3 people were really into it. i mean we were screaming the lyrics, jumping, laughing, etc. it was amazing (esp when bono kissed ME!)

Apparently they're not releasing it until the 3D effects can be seen at home... soo...
    Enjoy the show!
  11. I just bought my tickets for tonight's show in San Francisco. This will be the second time I've seen U2 in the theatres... The first was when I was 15, when I took my girlfriend to see Rattle & Hum. She fell asleep and we were the only two people in the theatre. I hope this experience involves at least one other true fan!
