1. I like it!

Note that this DJ will be playing at the closing ceremony in Rio tonight too. He might repeat it
  2. They might play it
  3. I meant the band
  4. Sounds awful.
Says someone who hates all their dance remixes, too. So nevermind...

I once became fan of a ROCK band. Well, I thought....
  5. The "And every door smells of fresh paint" line is as heavy as a truck. That could have only been written by an intellectual tortoise with a magic marker.

"You're the best thing about me
The best thing that ever happened to...
You're the best thing about me
    I'm dying/trying/tying...in joy"

Am I being too cynical or am I just pining for lyrics that are relevant to the world like they used to do Bullet, Zooropa, Walk On etc? One potential song on an album, I know, but jeez

    What about this?

    Avenue Atlantico
    Seventeen-o-two
    She's cocoa butter
    Baby, she's the glue

She's got the baby at her breast
She knows big girls are best

This was ages ago. So, yeah, this song they did with Kygo is miles ahead of some of the work they did in the past. It's a nice side-project, nothing more, nothing less. I was hoping they'll return to dance music once again after nineties, Pop and Achtung Baby outtakes and B-sides.

I like it! It's beautiful, lighthearted, summer song.
  7. Lyrics attempt. Missing some things, couldn't make sense out of it, anyone wants to suggest/correct?

    When you look so good
The pain in your face doesn't show
    When you look so good
    Baby you don't even know
    When the world is ours
And every door smells of fresh paint
    When the girl..
Says its friction that makes you a saint
    When we've seen enough
    To those children.. teach..
    When you're free enough
To wake up on a bed on a beach

You're the best thing about me
The best thing that ever happened a boy
You're the best thing about me
I'm kind trouble.. you, in joy
You're the best thing about me
The best thing, not easy to enjoy
You're the best thing about me

Why.. why am I walking away
    Why am I walking away

    I'll be crying out
    cupboard key?
    Shooting up my mouth
That's another great thing about me

I got everything, but I feel like nothing at all
    There's no rescue thing.. for?

You're the best thing about me
The best thing that ever happened a boy
You're the best thing about me
I'm kind of trouble.. you.. in joy
You're the best thing about me
    The best thing.. destroy..
    Singing from myself

    The best thing
    The best thing
    (Edge?)
  8. U2 is still a rockband. That's what I heard and saw the last i&E Tour.
    Remixes are for DJ's.

I don't think they'll change any release plans bc of this.

I agree. In fact, I say everything is going according to plan. Its the U2 formula... song leak engulfed in mystery generates buzz and chatter. When the web begins buzzing the spotlight starts warming up again... I've said before they're no dummies when it comes time to crank up the marketing machine and they know how to use the power of the web to their advantage.

Never say never, but I seriously doubt it. Unless Bono happens to be randomly hanging out with Jony Ive that day.

+1 not to mention the fact that they've already been there and done that.
  11. They probably wanted a remix or two from a big DJ just to showcase their music to a new audience.
