Btw Lead me in the way I should go even goes back to HTDAAB sessions. So I guess we might see that lyrics some day in a song.
It's really interesting. It would be nice to have an overview of how the tracks were called and what the lyrics were etc and how it developed. I guess a lot of it is in this topic but I don't have the time to go back that far
I guess the U2 term 'Dream it all up again' really means, "let's throw away all those years worth of recordings and songs writings and start from scratch.....

I'll hear a full studio version of North Star someday! Mark my words!.....
  2. Wish you luck...maybe a b side or on a greatest hits
  3. Just one thought really: who the hell picks the singles?!
  4. I think they over complicate the selection for single. I think they could get away with just picking the best songs on the album, never mind if they’re radio friendly or not. I reckon they would chart surprisingly well even if they didn’t sound that commercial. Can you imagine the reaction from u2 fans if landlady for example was the lead single. Maybe I’m well off the mark but I reckon the hardcore fan base alone would drive it reasonably far up the charts or do at least as well as best Thing.

    Honestly I don't think so.

I've complained too much for Boots or Discotheque being the lead single of their albums, or for the mess they had with SOI, but I reckon Best Thing was the right call this time.

Now, after Best Thing, they're once again dropping the ball with a similar indecision than on SOI... Is Get Out? Or American Soul? What?
  6. Exactly. A good example to me is Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own.
Clearly not a funky singalong song, but hey, it became record of the year... AND I know a LOT of non-U2 fans who said to me that is one heck of a song (unlike Vertigo).
