Yeah, thats a bit wierd though, y'know? I went onto my local radio station's site and they had the stream available too. Perhaps promos were given out, and put out on the web? Well, streams are now being downloaded by the thousands on various sharing sites. But whatever, still kinda cool. Or they could turn around and say "oh, that's a different mix of the album, here's the real thing". Imagine if any artist ever did that, the reactions they would receive....
  2. i just listened to the whole album!!! it's leaked into the torrent world!! absolutely incredible album!!! it's a bit different though and u can tell the Eno has had quite a bit of input... i'll still definitleybuy the CD tho!! "Lost!" is an incredible song!! and if u get the chance to listen to the acoustic version that's even better!!
  3. yea the acoustics are amazing! I LOVE YES/CHINESE SLEEP CHANT!!! GUITLY PLEASURE!!! that and Dirty Day lol

    eww this post is 666.

  4. I have the full album, sounds more interesting than their previous ones, the Eno influence is undeniable.

From first impressions, the songs I like so far are Violet Hill, Cemeteries of London and Viva la Vida- which is my favourite so far, its well sung, with great lyrics (although the chorus is a little messy).
(Lost! is also promising, have to listen to the album a few more times before I make up my mind about the rest of the songs)

Although some of the press are calling it album of the year, I think other than these three songs, its going to be written off by many for being too experimental.

It won't give U2's new album a run for its money, in my opinion.

The verses are from the perspective of a French king, (possibly Charles X), on the eve of the French revolution. The chorus is seemingly unrelated, apparently referring to the Crusades.

I like the "then I realised my castle stands, on pillars of salt and pillars of sand" lyric, and how Martin sings it.

Yea, I love that line...many good lines in it, and the way he sings it is pretty cool too...the chorus is nice in its own, but as it seems unrelated, I'd say all the lines except the chorus lines are favorites of mine...
"One minute I held the key, next the walls were closed on me"

"Shattered windows and the sound of drums,
people couldn't believe what I'd become,
revolutionaries wait, for my head on a silver plate,
just a puppet on a lonely string, oh who would ever want to be king?"

Sorry, had to type it all! ... the lyrics are very descriptive and I love that, it's kinda like the UF and JT lyrics that make a scene take shape in your head...

AHHH ITS A SIGN!!! 9. Coldplay finally became real rock band with this album.
  10. Got it too, sounds good, but still need to get used to it.
  11. This is my first listen and I like it instantly more than X&Y which is a very weak Coldplay album. I love AROBTTH though. I think it will grow, and I'm curious which songs will stand and which will drop in my favorite list. I think I even try getting some tickets for the upcoming two shows in Holland in October.

I heard they were both sold out, so good luck. Maybe some radio stations will give them away as a price.
