  1. I got a mailing from his campaign yesterday, with one of those forms where I'm supposed to give him money.

    I responded:

    1. His net worth is estimated at more than $4.2 million--does he really need my money?
    2. What has he accomplished that makes him a worthy contender for President?

    true, but I will also give insight on how my states governor was elected:

    it was either go with Healey and continue the horrible crap Mitt Romney did, or choose Deval Patrick, who we had no clue about. Now he's a moron, so go figure.

    My thought is we need a president to lead, not someone full of hot air. And this goes to both candidates. I don't want a stereotype politician in office. I.E. "oh, I can promise you this and that, etc."

    I haven't been following McCain, maybe because people over a millenia old dont make much noise, but he might win the election. The only reason I wouldn't vote for him is that he wants to stay in Iraq. Change your war policy then we'll talk.

    As for Obama, you offer change. What kind of change? Sure, there's a health care problem, but that's not the main issue! It's the economy and the war! At least you want our troops home, but how will that help the economy? Some of the troops will want jobs when they return home, and the problem is there won't be any jobs. That means there will be more people unemployed if troops come home.

    My final insight is this:
    Either America remains stationed in Iraq, and wastes billions on supporting the war. This doesn't help our economy any bit.

    Or, the troops come home, and our war spending goes to helping the economy. But because there are more people who need help, helping America and the economy will be harder.

    Plus let's not forget Iran is a threat. We told them to stop their nuclear erichment program. No means no. And Russia I believe is somewhat of an ally of Iran, so then starts WWIII.

    And why does war happen? Easy. Religion, beliefs, and egotism. If we put our religious beliefs aside, think of the number of worldwide conflicts that could be avioded. If everyone stopped trying to convert everyone else to their religion, and everyone had the chance to choose their own religion, then no one would try and convert anyone else knowing they're trying to find something that suits the other person. The problem is that radicals and egotistic folks believe they're superior and try to press their views on others. That creates suffering and tension. Then people try to liberate themselves from that, and are deemed radicals as well. So, if people put their differences aside, there would be no need to fight.

    A bit naive, but true. Without religion the middle east would have no reason to fight other than being land greedy. Land greed... hmm, thats familiar. Superiority and land greed caused the Civil War. I'll relate this to the crisis the middle east. The United States is the country it was some 150 years ago, trying to keep peace and keep everyone happy. The confederacy would be the middle east religious radicals and egotists. The thing is those people only make up a percentage of the people, just as the confederacy was. Mind you, 1/3 of the "South" were slaves, who wanted freedom. The law abiding citizens of middle eastern countries are the slaves of those radicals and egotists. And yes, those citizens should be liberated from that.

    Thats the common sense behind the war on terror and the war in Iraq. To apply democracy to the world, so we as a nation will not be seen as wrong in the eyes of other nations. We want everyone to have freedom and let people choose their own beliefs. To say we want to stop keeping peace and stop wanting to help people gain freedom anywhere is admitting failure to that. And the next president has the choice of letting more Americans die in combat, or admitting failure. It's a very ugly picture, which started to be painted in 1919, and was finished by 1945. Yes, that's right. WWI was a Napoleonic war in which european nations fought for the gain of land. The US joined because we were threatened by the Zimmerman note. As for WWII, we tried to stop Germany from enslaving Europe to fascist beliefs.

    The next president of the US has to remember that they are the leader of the free world. Their job is to protect the American people and ensure the safety of them. Whoever is the best person for that job should be president of the US.

    And I don't see healthcare in any of that.

  5. Damn shame. back to politics, we pull out of Iraq, and we are the laughing stock of the world, and have another Somalia on our hands, except at a larger scale.

    Umm...doesn't sound so good for you guys to stay in there just so that no one laughs at you...in case you haven't noticed, they are already laughing.

    I am anti war. I want to vote for Barack, hopefully he will fix the economy
