That's exactly right. Once you're tired of one era, just go back or forward 5 or 10 years to another one. They have a universe of material which is what makes them so durable for the fans. The remasters have got me back into the early 80's right now.

Yeah, when you grow tired of U2, you just skip to another U2....this band has so many faces....hard to believe that the band who recorded JT or War are those lads playing on PopMart

Hehe..it's weird to watch JT with Bono wearing that had and having long hair and when you skip ten years, you see them rock the show with a short-cutted Bono and some weird colorfull clothes.

I can't get into Coldplay, The Killers' new material sucks monkey balls (after an awesome debut album), The Bloc Party's latest album bites and Mellencamp's got a newie out but he's an old hillbilly. That just leaves hip hop, emo and Maroon 5. What else is there??

EDIT: Arcade Fire is great and the only other thing decent I find is Kings of Leon but I can only take small doses of them.

    Simple, listen to old bands.

Like Count Basie and his Orchestra, for example

kidding, but The Who, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin are good for anyone

  11. Yea no I'm pretty into John Mayer right now. I'm not saying I don't like U2 anymore. It's just usually when I do listen to them, they're ALL I listen to. All I watch. All I play on guitar. My family get's annoyed. So I guess you could say I finally found a band that I like enough to pull me away a bit from that major obsession. I'm still obsessed, but not like i'm trapped in U2's music anymore. It's good I guess. I'll go back to them though, don't worry! In fact, I feel like watching Slane right at this moment. And I watched Rattle and Hum last night, so all is not lost.

That's why The Edge uses so many guitars and effects... it gives us something to do and study and decipher in between albums...

...and just when we have his live rig JUST about figured out... the bugger changes it around for the new tour.

    Feck!
