  1. I dont really mind them playing all these songs at shows. the only thing i want them to NOT show up on dvds! god i hate having like 12 versions of Pride lol
  2. The funny thing is everyone dislikes Pride or doesn't want them to play it again, BUT the Vertigo-prides were very good IMO!
    Maybe this song gets even better and better...

    And second: I don't think I heard anyone say UTEOTW until now! Do we all like that song?
    It has been played every tour since it's exsistance...quite something, eh?

  6. Pride needs to be picked up a bit, but its a classic, a must see i think.
    Id prefer if bono would stop his SBS political rants too, thats starting to drag. that coexist thing really got on my tits, but im sure we've all had this convo before!

    I do like UTEOTW a lot, but you are right. I have seen U2 on three tours, and they have played it all 3 times. I would love to hear other AB songs take its place. How about So Cruel or Wild Horses. Same goes for the JT songs. Figure everyone there owns those two albums and will know any song you pick from them. We don't have to here the same 4 every tour.

    Sorry Mark, but for me, Pride sucked on the last tour. It's not really been any great shakes for me since PopMart, and even then it was on the way down. Like SBS, it suffers from being played like 3 semitones down, although I guess it helps Bono sing it within his vocal range etc.

    And re. UTEOTW, yes, it should be damn well kept lol. A lot of songs have been played in every tour since they were released (IWF is the only song to have seen action in every tour, end of), but for me UTEOTW should be kept, it's a terrific live song - although that said, I'd prefer it if Edge started playing it á la Elevation, 'cause for me that was the pinnacle tone-wise. His guitar on Vertigo shows sounded like it was underwater...

    I'd love to see So Cruel played live (maybe in a similar way to OOTS or RTSS with Edge on piano OR get Bono to play the piano like he did for Sweetest Thing and have Edge play some sort of guitar accompaniment), and if WGRYWH made a bit more of a comeback and was played like it was during ZooTV, then I completely agree but NOT at the expense of UTEOTW. That's just my view though

    I don't want UTEOTW not to be played, but indeed, a song like Ultraviolet, So Cruel, TTTYAATW or Love is Blindness would be a nice, refreshing change!
  10. no TTTYAATW please. UTEOTW is a great song, if they play it Elevation-style. Who's gonna ride your wild horses would be nice but not the whole tour... But Ultraviolet and Acrobat would be great, thats for sure.

    Really? I think that song really rocked live! I know the album version suckes, but it's very good live IMO...Or So Cruel, both songs are a bit alike...
