    Notice anything?

that it hasn't been updated in quit a while is the only thing I notice. Oh and not a lot of recent stuff (Elevation and Vertigo are the butt of my 'standard' routine performances comment)

Notice anything about your profile? Consists of 21 bootlegs. Expert alert

I also don't have 12000 posts and am not a site manager.
So, perhaps I should just shut up then...

  3. I take no pride or substance from my post count. Means nothing. I enter discussions as a normal fan and not a site manager.
  4. Happy days, happy days, talk about nitpicking...

....on a more positive note, just watched Slane DVD after a long time without watching any, I feel better for it. Now, either Paris or PopMart for me :m
  5. How the hell did I get in the middle of all this?

I'd like to see U2 play in Ireland simply because that's where they're from and they seem to lift another gear ie Sland and Point Depot. There's no sinister hidden agenda here!

And I said Europe or USA simply because they are not in Australia. I could just as easily see them in Japan or South America! The point I was making was I'd just like to experience a concert in another country.
  6. Yesterday I got the Boston and Chicago dvd's...and I don't really agree with you on Boston, Gerard. I really liked it! The performance wasn't as bad as I thought and the setlist was amazing!
BUT I must agree with you that Boston is weaker than ZooTV, PopMart, Slane and Chicago...

As often stated, I dislike certain U2 DVD's for reasons other than the band. Individual performances were very good but the show itself had a very sombre mood to it. Other than that the band were hard to beat.

On the setlist note. . it didn't exist. It's a setlist that never happened. 3 nights of footage from 3 different shows all with different setlists. It's one of Hamishes worst copy and paste jobs to date (see Gone for perfect example). Theres plenty of other niggles that just annoy me titless.

Then theres dudes walking in and out of the arena during songs to grab a beer etc which annoyed me for some reason.

    I'd give it 6.5/10 overall

Best performance of the Fly and Until The End Of the World I've seen though.

  9. Individually the performances are top but it just doesnt come together as a great show

  10. Yep, I prefer outdoor shows on film, or at least the ones done so far. More atmosphere, more of a spectacle and there's more interesting shots to take.

  11. Probably 'cause it isn't a show lol, what with it being a botch job of various performances like you said earlier...although a DVD without Pride? Suppose it's a plus in some people's eyes

Speaking of botch jobs, I'm watching Milan 'cause I have to admit that I quite like it, but on the subject of HH sloppiness, at the end of IWF there's a panoramic shot of the stage which must last a good 10 secs, and you can quite clearly see Edge swapping his Explorer for one of his cream LPs (couldn't tell you which one because I still can't remember which ones he uses for different songs lol) in preparation for playing Electric Co., but then we see Bono chatting and Edge kick off Elevation on his SG. Shambles lol.

    The amateur mistakes are endless.
