1. nobody mentioned this was another 128kbps gig. God it sounds bad

  2. haha

    audiophile with your Bose snobby-ness.

Sounded alright to me as I walked the mutts.

  3. the recording is ok. It's that bloody bitrate. I literally just cannot listen to it. It sounds tacky

  4. I honestly don't notice it. I do get the difference with the lossless .mp4a but nothing else. Ah well.

Hope you can give us an opinion either way.

Gave that a listen again today too (it was a longish walk). That and my Earl's Court gig on at present. Gutted about the other 2 songs.

    Sound

From the start you get the feeling that this would be an average bootleg, maybe 2 stars is a bit harsh but its not a show every U2 fan should flock to download. At parts the fantastic sounding audience made the band difficult to hear, and certain elements went a miss completety. Alone with the band, the sound did seem to improve through out the gig, maybe my ears became acustom with the sound.

    Performance

as stated by aussiemofo, the band took there time to get doing, Elevation sounded scruffy, Beatiful Day sound laboured and UTEOTW was not much better. After a fantastic Discothteque and and emotional the band picked up the tempo. Gone and The Fly were nice additions to the setlist, thought better versions of these can be found else where on the Elevation tour. The show finished on what I thought was a fantastic Walk On, and emotional way to end a very emotional night.

    Audience

Theres a reason the BRT has been to Glasgow 3 times, Enthusiastic, Passionate and Loud. They made the bootleg

    Sound: 4.5
    Performance:6.5
    Audience: 9

    Overall: 7
