  2. Yes, Obama might not have experience representing an entire government system, but McCain hasn't either. In fact the only person with experience here would be Palin. Why? She was the governor of Alaska. She ran the show. Is she running for president? I don't see her atop of the ticket.

    So this person Obama is 'friends' with. First off, Obama would condemn such behavior. Second off, it happened in 1971. The world is a different place now than it was then. Plus this person in question could have changed their worldview. More media bullshit.

    Slum lord? I've read that bullshit. The media blows things way out of proportion. It's the KISS method effect that can ruin any story.

    If you remember, Obama cut ties with Rev. Wright. Yes the priest is radical, however he isn't Obama's priest anymore, now is he? Plus, Mr. Wright went even more beserk with the media's attention. For 15 minutes of fame. I shouldn't see why he should get more.

    What about McCain? Keating 5 sounds familiar. I believe he was cleared, however judged of poor management. Poor judgement reminds me of something that lasted 8 years ago....

    Plus why is McCain going negative all of a sudden? Does he want to bring back scandals to hurt Obama's chances, or is he showing his true character?

    Teddy Roosevelt ran for a third term in 1912.....under the Bull Moose Party. It split the Republican vote and Democrat Woodrow Wilson was elected. After his presidency, there was 8 years of Republican rule, then in 1928.....

    well, I'm not saying that the Repubs and the 1928 stock market crash are related....but the setting seems the same:

    extravagant spending
    8 years of Republican presidency

    just read the Great Gatsby....and how things were in the 20s. It doesn't differ that much from the higher middle to high class in the country nowadays. The only difference is that there's a Democratic Congress willing to fix this country, and Obama is def willing to help get reforms through to fix things.

    One example: raise taxes to put back funds that are gone now. here in mass they're cutting scholarships because there's no money for them. if taxes are raised, then the money is there for programs, then those problems can be fixed. we just have to bar interruptions such as lobbyists. they're the ones who steal money from the govt.

    and bono, I'm sorry, but america cant afford to help africa right now. we have our own problems at the moment. as soon as we can afford it, we'll help ya.
