    And Yes, looks like The Edge is playing the Fernandes Retro Rocket with and utilizing it's Sustainer pickup in the "Mystery tour" u2.com video.

  3. Very haunting sort of tune isn't it? Reminds me of a Joshua B-Side or something. It may sound weird to some right now, but the vocals/lyrics/vocal melody can change the whole perspective. I can't see them putting a song with pedal steel and guitar on an album though, they wouldn't be able to play it live!
  5. Haunting and cool. And keep in mind that is a 2 minute clip. It could be a bridge. It could be a B-Side. It could be just fecking about with textures and sound. It could be for the Spiderman bit...

    Remember the 11th commandment: Thout shalt not freak out and negatively judge material that has yet to be released.

    As Edge has said, "the album isn't done until it's in the shops".

    So have a nice stiff drink and relax. And this tune is lovely to relax to.

    Argh, Jake, I need some of whatever you're smoking lol...The Fly and Zoo Station had a vibe and some actual rhythm lol. That thing, I dunno, just sounds like something from Zelda lol!

    True re. the 11th commandment, but the bit about a stiff drink reminds me of the intro. to The Offspring's "Smash" album - "sit down, it's time to relax; a glass of wine, your favourite easy chair and this compact disc...so just sit back and enjoy the melodies. Afterall, music soothes even the savage beast" lol!

    Sounds familiar? Compare with Beach Clip nr.4, it's the same tune but acoustic, 90% sure here. Only Love is what Edge played there..

    Remember... alot of "Achtung Baby" sounded "non-U2" at the time. And now, it's a beloved classic.


  12. Exactly! So I don't get why people are so pessimistic. U2 were always about going forward, looking for new sounds, emotions, colors...

    I mean...it's so exciting to watch these videos, to watch beautiful baby being born...
