1. A few that I like:

    Are You Gonna Wait Forever
    Kite (Live From Sydney)
    Neon Lights
    Unchained Melody
    Everlasting Love
Alex Descends Into Hell For A Bottle of Milk / Korova 1
    Bottoms (Zoo Station Remix)
    The Lounge Fly Mix
    Spanish Eyes
    The Sweetest Thing (Original Mix)
    Silver and Gold (Sun City)
    Beautiful Ghost
Luminous Times (Hold On To Love)
    Race Against Time
    Deep In The Heart
    Walk To The Water
    Always
    Lady With The Spinning Head
    Salome
North and South of The River
Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad
    Slow Dancing
    Dancing Barefoot
    Levitate
    Love You Like Mad
    Smile

Sometimes, the B-sides and outtakes are U2's best work.

Best B-side...Lady With The Spinning Head indeed. Alex Descends Into Hell and Party Girl are cool too...

BTW Was Paint It Black a B-side?

cover of the Stones song. And a pretty good one too.

So Cruel, hell no, that's a terrific song. TTTYAATW, maybe, it's the only song on the album that I'm ever tempted to skip, but don't - it's still good, but I think the band nailed it when they played it live.

My thoughts too - LWTSS (no doubt because we associate different parts with the songs it spawned), great as it is, sounds more like a couple of songs jumbled together than one coherent entity, similar to Zooropa (which essentially is two different songs slapped together, but in a way that works).

  5. I like Lady with the Spinning Head, both the UV1 and extended dance remix versions. (Partly because it shares a riff with Ultraviolet)
Anyone else like the way Bono sings the 'mean old man took away my car' lyric?

But I also like Love Comes Tumbling, Luminous Times, Dancing Barefoot ,Hallelujah here she comes, and Party Girl of course.

have they ever played lady with the spinning head live?

  6. Like Acrobat as well, but they'll play Pride another 50,000 times though
We should petition the band to play more obscure songs

We have a much better chance of the boys playing Acrobat than Spinning Head.
Spinning Head I would imagine is non-existent song to them because it got taken over by other songs, like Native Son.
  8. what do you mean by taken over?
  9. Oh ok, and there are only two mixes of LWTSH right?

I was listening to Native Son, its interesting
And Xanax and Wine, I like it better than Fast Cars (which I don't really like) I like the way he sings the 'Xanax and Wine' part.

the best b sides were from the JT, R&H era though
