    I would say The Police are more important than REM, but I'm reasonably happy with where it is now, would like Springsteen in though to represent the US.
  5. I know I'm late to the party, but Helter Skelter isn't a good choice. Sure U2 covered it, but it's a boring song and not very representative of the Beatles music, IMO...

    Were not using it, using Lennon's Imagine instead. And Lennon is pretty much the Beatles anyway. Maybe Hey Jude but thats 7 minutes long.

    I think we should leave it here: U2 also represents the States..kinda...

  10. I like the Beatles as much as anyone, but its Imagine, its RS 3rd greatest song of all time.
    We need a more contemplative/softer Beatles song like Hey Jude if we have to use the Beatles.

    I agree about Hey Jude...or All You Need Is Love. Imagine is a great song, it's just that people here rarely talk about Lennon's solo work, and more about the Beatles as a band, that's all.
